Wow! Wow! Wow! What an experience we had! It was really fantastic! They provide a good service and do everything so well, that you want to continue your stay there! When we came into the room, there was a table laid with tea and Japanese desert mocha for two people. I appreciate for that! The Japanese kaiseki dinner was up to my taste, but not all the food as I could not recognise the taste of some and I simply didn’t like it. My daughter doesn’t like fish, so she could taste only a few dishes. She liked rice (how good it was cooked). A wonderful sunset and a wonderful sunrise is way I intended to see! I did! It was amazing! Photos attached. Try to see it, too! The breakfast was also with fish. As for me, it was tasty. My daughter found it not to her taste. Onsen was relaxing and very good to visit! Worthy! They drove us to the station after our stay at the hotel. I appreciate the hotel for the accommodation and service! I recommend this hotel, but I would come hear earlier to spend more time in ryokan!

The hotel is an old fashioned institution with every necessary functions for business trip. The room is super tidy and spacious. What is more, for tourist who come to the beautiful city of Shizuoka, the hotel is just a few steps away from the JR station, plus an absolutely beautiful landscape of Mt Fuij when weather is nice.

Decent hotel that is most advantageous for it's location - it is immediately next to the train station and bus station, providing great convenience for any trip in the area. It is near to many restaurants, cafes, a mall, and the Fuji World Heritage Center which is a very well thought-out museum. A few problems concern cleanliness and it's amenities. We found a few bugs across the hotel and the bathroom sometimes produced an odor (not of our own making, mind you). The amenities are mostly in good working order but are are limited in some annoying ways. Food quality and variety in the breakfast could be a little better - no coffee is available even though there is a coffee machine for instance. Laundry machines are only available when the baths are open for a few hours in the morning and evening. One other issue concerns the notion that although the hotel has stated on signs that they would be unable to access our room without the key, they were able to do so anyway when we requested to change the bedding with the bug in it. This left us a little perplexed. Otherwise, other aspects of the hotel were up to snuff. Friendly staff. Efficient service. Willing to store luggage. The welcome drink (pour your own alcoholic drink) was a nice touch.

The hot spring hotel is located on the coastline of Seto, with a large sea view. In the morning, you don't need to go out to watch the sunrise, you can watch it directly on the balcony. It is a first-class unbeatable view. The price is not expensive, but the service needs to be improved. Because I arrived very late and couldn't contact the hotel owner, I called a taxi from Izu Atagawa Station. It was not expensive, only 780 yen. I gave 1,000 and didn't need to change it. The service attitude of elderly Japanese drivers is generally very good! There is no convenience store nearby, which is not very convenient. The hot spring is quite comfortable!

Most definitely a 5* stay. Very clean hotel with amazing facilities. Of course you are booking due to being a car fanatic - you will not be disappointed. Every part of the hotel is designed around vehicles and is very well thought out. They have a shinjuku expressway bus that comes right outside the hotel to shinjuku which is very handy if you have travelled via public transport. Views from the hotel are amazing. Gym is open 24 hours which is was great. Everything felt new. Interior design was very classy and modern.

It’s very close everything in centre of Fujinomiya. There is the parking lot service. On Wednesday there’s a local market nearby. Love bed, good breakfast and staff very helpful. A little bit thin wall you can hear the voice. The room size, it’s for 2 person. Nearby the public transport. There’s a beautiful view of fuji. Enjoy our stay! Thank you for all staff.

Very good location, just a few minutes walk nearby Shizuoka Station and bus stop to attractive, like Nihondair, Shizuoka zoo, etc. The breakfast buffet is nice and yummy. The hotel room is very clean, and good amenities are provided. We have a pleasant stay for 3 nights.

Anyway, it was clean. I requested a room with a view of Mt. Fuji. I could see Mt. Fuji on the day I stayed there. It was the best. The next day, it was foggy and I couldn't see it, but it was such a great hotel that I wanted to stay another night. I will definitely stay there again if I go there someday.

Great cost performance! Of course the toilet and sink are clean, but the towels, pajamas, and slippers are clean! The service throughout the hotel is also good! There is a natural hot spring on the 13th floor and a sauna. The fatigue of driving under the scorching sun will be completely blown away once you enter this sauna. This high quality business hotel is highly recommended. At night, you can see the night view of Kakegawa Castle lit up from the bathtub on the 13th floor. There is a free ice lolly service after taking a bath. After taking a bath in the morning, there was a free Yakult (or maybe not?) free service. Furthermore, there was free mango pudding and mineral water in the refrigerator in the room. I think I found a good hotel. I would definitely like to use it when I go again.

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

GGuest UserI was going to a live show so I was looking for a hotel close to the station and found this one. They were able to leave my carry-on baggage even before check-in and I was able to rest in chairs in the lobby, which was a very helpful service for a live show on a rainy day. I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. 😑 There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh😑, I have to give a bad review.

TTim lwtThe Fujisan Mishima Tokyu Hotel offers a fantastic base for visitors exploring the Hakone region, with easy access via the nearby Mishima Station. The hotel lobby is on the second floor, providing a welcoming atmosphere with modern decor. One of the hotel's highlights is the hot spring on the 14th floor, featuring panoramic views of Mount Fuji, which many guests find to be an unforgettable experience. The hot spring is highly rated for its ambience and amenities. Rooms at the hotel are of comfortable size and noted for cleanliness and well-maintained furnishings. The convenience of a bus station in front of the hotel or Mishima Station makes travel around the Hakone area very manageable, allowing guests to explore easily. This hotel is ideal for travellers seeking a balance of comfort, convenience, and an authentic Japanese experience with spectacular views.

SShih Yuin ChewTo my regret, should have booked ALL my nights in Shizuoka with this place. Because of some of the negative reviews online, I was sceptical and worried thus didn’t wanna put all eggs in one basket. But the worry was totally unnecessary. Given the price, a fair comparison should be a dormitory styled hostel, and this place far exceeds any of the capsule hotels/dorm hostels I’ve been to (I’ve booked around 50 in Japan by now). First, it has its own room and bed, privacy +1. Second, it has its own large locker in the room (not as large as the largest suitcase, but more than enough to keep valuables and clothes), convenience +1. Third, COMFY bed with incredibly thick foam support and super-single kinda width, sleep quality +1. Fourth, the shower room area is ultra spacious and brightly illuminated, with close to 10 counters (and chairs), you can take your time taking care of your hygiene and facial breakouts at your own pace. Fifth, it has a partner cafe (hug coffee) two doors next to it and the breakfast and/or drink coupons it offers could save you quite some money compared to walk in yourself. The list could go on when you compare it to other hostels in the town (instead of hotels in another price range) Given, the door of the room cannot be locked, and there could be a chance of hearing noise from other rooms, but these are common issues across all hostel settings, and it’s more of the travellers issue than the place. So overall, I must say this is a place of very high value. I’ll almost always stay in this place if I’m to pass by Shizuoka again in the future.

JJanetWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets. The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious! The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride. Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese. We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.

CCY TanI recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.

SserselIt’s a nice budget hotel near Shin-Fuji Station, and overall, it was a pleasant experience for me. The hotel is very close to the trains, yet surprisingly quiet. It’s small but very clean, with everything necessary provided in the room. Though the room isn’t spacious, it is cozy, and I enjoyed a nice view of Mount Fuji from my window, even if the grids on the window made it tricky to capture good photos. The breakfast is simple but adequate to start your day, and I noticed the menu changes daily (I stayed for two nights and had different options each morning). The staff, while not fluent in English, were incredibly kind and helpful. They really made my stay more comfortable. The hotel provides a few shuttle buses to the nearby train station, which was very convenient. They also offer free shuttles to Fujikawaguchiko, but only on national holidays and weekends, so I didn’t get the chance to try that. If you’re heading to the Shin-Fuji Station, there’s a tourist center with English-speaking staff who are very helpful. You can even rent bicycles there to explore the area and enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji. For the price, it’s a great option, especially if you’re on a budget and looking for a quiet, clean place to stay with some handy amenities.
