Great place. Super host! It was unexpected to meet someone with such perfect English in a Japanese village. He told us everything and showed us around! He was very polite and friendly. In the morning, he even drove us to the train station, for which we’re especially grateful. At this ryokan, you fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere, yet there’s also air conditioning. Another big plus is that they allow guests with tattoos. The hot spring offers a beautiful view! I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Location is good, very near to Aeon. Room is clean and pleasant. They provide cleaning gel, face lotion etc which you self service at the reception. Was served by a young lady at the front desk. I’m surprised her service was lacking… probably inexperienced and poor language in English.

Hotel located conveniently 1 min walk from Shizuoka station. Room is much bigger than standard Japanese hotel so it's a great point. Lobby gives us a high class feel. However, one only down point is there are no laundry at the hotel so for people who stay long it might be a point to turn it down. Other than that, the rest are perfect.

We checked in at the end of May. The hotel is in a relatively remote location, but it is no problem for self-driving tours. There are several parking spaces downstairs. There are many cats when you turn into the alley. You can see underground hot springs smoking along the way. The hotel also charges a hot spring tax when you check in. We took three hot spring baths and the whole place was reserved. The hot spring is very authentic and very large! I can feel that my muscles and bones are really relaxed and my skin is smooth after soaking. The towel should be taken down from the room. I forgot to bring it several times. There are also many sushi restaurants nearby. I ate at this authentic sushi restaurant. The eel rice was very delicious, even better than the famous one I had in Kyoto! The hotel is well managed, you can't see any other travelers, the staff are very kind and smiling, it's a very good experience. It takes less than half an hour to reach Omuroyama and Shiroki Coast.

The location of the hotel is perfect, situated right next to the train station and a food mall. Shopping and restaurants are just a short walk away. The hotel itself is new and impeccable clean. The staff went above and beyond to help us during our stay. When my husband fell ill, they patiently listened to his symptoms and assisted us in finding the right doctor. They even helped us schedule an appointment and ensured that the clinic staff understood his condition. Thanks to their support, the doctor and clinic staff were very professional, and my husband recovered quickly. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and assistance!

This hotel is conveniently located just a 1-2 minute walk from the south exit of Hamamatsu Station. There are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, including the famous Hamamatsu gyoza restaurant, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. You can enjoy coffee or tea as a welcome drink. There is also a smoking room in the lobby. The room seems to have been recently renovated, and the unit bath was clean. The water pressure in the shower was good, and warm water came out quickly. However, the interior of the room's walls was peeling in places and there were large scratches, so it felt a little old. The amenities were the type that you had to take yourself in the lobby. There were body towels, shavers, brushes, cotton swabs, etc., but there was no lotion or facial cleanser, so you would need to bring your own. Pajamas are available in the room. Toothbrushes and toothpaste were provided in the unit bath. If you're just staying for a night, this hotel is a good choice for the price! The front desk staff were also polite.

This hotel is very suitable for those who plan to visit Mt. Fuji and drive around to see the atmosphere around Fuji. The parking lot is spacious. The room has complete facilities. Breakfast is also provided. It tastes good and has a variety of menus. The price is good for both the heart and the wallet. Very impressed 👍😍

It’s very close everything in centre of Fujinomiya. There is the parking lot service. On Wednesday there’s a local market nearby. Love bed, good breakfast and staff very helpful. A little bit thin wall you can hear the voice. The room size, it’s for 2 person. Nearby the public transport. There’s a beautiful view of fuji. Enjoy our stay! Thank you for all staff.

Hotel is in a good location, very close to 7/11 and station. Hotel is not new, but very clean. Stuff has a strange policy of giving them key before living, but it's nothing difficult. I lived on the top floor so view was very good. Bed had 4 pillows and pajamas. Nice and cheap place to stay.

Anyway, it was clean. I requested a room with a view of Mt. Fuji. I could see Mt. Fuji on the day I stayed there. It was the best. The next day, it was foggy and I couldn't see it, but it was such a great hotel that I wanted to stay another night. I will definitely stay there again if I go there someday.

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

GGuest UserI was going to a live show so I was looking for a hotel close to the station and found this one. They were able to leave my carry-on baggage even before check-in and I was able to rest in chairs in the lobby, which was a very helpful service for a live show on a rainy day. I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

JJAmazing experience! We got picked up at Atami Station in a free shuttle. The Hotel is located on a cliff, with stunning views of both the ocean and the city. The Hotel has a very interesting design, it looks kind of old fashioned but in a grand, fun way. We stayed in a Japanese style room, was fine. The 3 separate onsen baths were amazing. Great views, Sauna was good too. Food was a buffet, but it was freshly made and high quality. We were very happy with the hotel and would definitely recommend it

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. 😑 There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh😑, I have to give a bad review.

AAnonymous UserHotel view was lit, especially when you can see Mt Fuji on a very good day. Location is very near to the Mishima station, the lobby is on the second floor of the building next to the Mishima station. You can get your Fuji express bus tickets just outside the station. Bus to the Gotemba outlet is also around the same area. Hotel cleanliness was good. However the reception was so so, as they did not provide further help when I seek for their assistance as I had left my backpack on the Shinkansen. The highest floor has an open bath for both women and male, requires a card to reach there. Hotel room provides the necessary towels in a basket for you to bring up and the toiletries are available as well. Would be a good view to see sunrise or sunset of Mt Fuji from the high level if there’s a chance. The room TV shows you the vacancy of the open bath and washing machine but it was not accurate for the open bath.

SShih Yuin ChewTo my regret, should have booked ALL my nights in Shizuoka with this place. Because of some of the negative reviews online, I was sceptical and worried thus didn’t wanna put all eggs in one basket. But the worry was totally unnecessary. Given the price, a fair comparison should be a dormitory styled hostel, and this place far exceeds any of the capsule hotels/dorm hostels I’ve been to (I’ve booked around 50 in Japan by now). First, it has its own room and bed, privacy +1. Second, it has its own large locker in the room (not as large as the largest suitcase, but more than enough to keep valuables and clothes), convenience +1. Third, COMFY bed with incredibly thick foam support and super-single kinda width, sleep quality +1. Fourth, the shower room area is ultra spacious and brightly illuminated, with close to 10 counters (and chairs), you can take your time taking care of your hygiene and facial breakouts at your own pace. Fifth, it has a partner cafe (hug coffee) two doors next to it and the breakfast and/or drink coupons it offers could save you quite some money compared to walk in yourself. The list could go on when you compare it to other hostels in the town (instead of hotels in another price range) Given, the door of the room cannot be locked, and there could be a chance of hearing noise from other rooms, but these are common issues across all hostel settings, and it’s more of the travellers issue than the place. So overall, I must say this is a place of very high value. I’ll almost always stay in this place if I’m to pass by Shizuoka again in the future.

GGuest UserSeeing that it was a new hotel with a good price, I booked a room. It was very convenient to find the hotel. I took the free shuttle bus from the outlet and got off at the first stop, Tomei Gotemba, and walked for a few minutes to get there, which was very convenient. The hotel is great! The receptionist is very enthusiastic and can use Chinese and English, so everything from check-in to problem solving was very smooth. The room is large and equipped with a safe and microwave, which is very convenient. The best thing is that the room can be soaked in hot springs, which is extremely comfortable. Be sure to buy breakfast when you check in, it's worth it, you can eat until you lean on the wall! In short, it's great!

AANNIE LIM NIAN YILocation is far from most of the attractions, will be nice to have a car. It took me 15 mins to walk from Tomei Gotemba Highway Bus station. There are free shuttle buses provided to Gotemba Premium Outlet from this station. The hotel is very comfy, suitable to chill and enjoy the hit spring, good for family vacation. Free flow soba from 9.30 till 11pm, free yogurt drink and ice cream as well. The view from room is amazing! Basically can just stay in room and enjoy Mt Fuji view

CCY TanI recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.

GGuest UserMost definitely a 5* stay. Very clean hotel with amazing facilities. Of course you are booking due to being a car fanatic - you will not be disappointed. Every part of the hotel is designed around vehicles and is very well thought out. They have a shinjuku expressway bus that comes right outside the hotel to shinjuku which is very handy if you have travelled via public transport. Views from the hotel are amazing. Gym is open 24 hours which is was great. Everything felt new. Interior design was very classy and modern.
