Amazing hotel for the price! Very new and clean. Great location in the older part of town with bus and train station within walking distance. Traditional shops selling dried goods nearby. Taichung park and Yizhong night street are just a few streets away. Self service coin operated laundry located behind the breakfast hall is very cheap and convenient.

I’ve seen a few reviews mentioning issues with cleanliness, but I didn’t experience any problems and got a nice room. The hotel provides free snacks, coffee, and ********* tea on the first floor, and the overall space is clean and neat. The location might be a bit far from major stations or attractions, but you can easily get anywhere by metro or taxi, which are quite reasonably priced. The only area that could be improved is the friendliness of the staff.

We were on the 11th floor that provided thrilling rides and views in the elevator. The laundry facility was clean, inexpensive and efficient. There’s an auditorium, very nice for community events. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with many selections of both Asian and Western choices, all of it delicious. The fitness area is very nice and I wish we’d had time to enjoy the spa. The city views were nice and we could almost see the ocean. Robes and slippers were cozy. Would definitely stay again.

Found the place a bit outdated. Overall pretty happy with the place. Didn’t have the best sleep overall but that’s cause I’m a light sleeper. Didn’t like the breakfast buffett but there’s plenty of street food options if the food isn’t your jam. The room itself is a bit outdated and has prism thing instead of card. Place did the job.

I've stayed here several times now. It's a hotel with a good value for money. The public lounge area in the lobby is great for meeting clients, and they offer free coffee and snacks. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Elegant and suitable for business discussions. Service: Enthusiastic service. Facilities: Complete basic amenities.

Clean and well kept hotel. Very close to the train station (just across the road) and next to a shopping mall. However, would still need to take uber to other sights of Tainan. Check in took quite a while as we had 2 rooms booked under Trip.com. Originally gave us only one room with a Trip.com voucher which indicated 2 rooms. After checking for a fairly long while, they found the other room. Quite surprised of this service standard from shangri-la brand of hotels. We booked 2 nights and early morning which is around 8+am, housekeeping came knocking on our door to want to clean and tidy the room while we were still in bed. Asked how long we needed to let her in to clean the room. Was speechless as this is the first time we had such an encounter. Disappointed with the service but location and cleanliness of the hotel are good.

Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!

Very convenient to Taichung Local Station. There were lot of convenience stores and food options around the area. Clean and spacious room. Fast check-in and check-out. A must book hotel whenever you visit Taichung

My stay at FX Hotel Tainan completely redefined my expectations for a budget hotel! The location is absolutely superb – Chihkan Tower and Guohua Street Food District are just a 10-minute walk away, and the Shennong Street cultural and creative area is also within easy reach. Just a left turn downstairs and you'll find a 7-Eleven; to the right, there are famous Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) and beef soup restaurants. For late-night cravings, heading straight to Bao'an Road Night Market was pure bliss! ✨ The mattress had just the right firmness, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area. 🚗 Transportation is incredibly convenient too! It's only an 8-minute drive from Tainan Railway Station. Overall, it's perfect for budget-conscious travelers who still value quality. We had an excellent stay! The family room (triple) was spacious and comfortable, perfect for traveling with kids. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was generous with a great variety of options. The body lotion smells so good , we bought one back (cost 1000 TWD) for own use, available at front desk . Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for families!
