Huge hotel with great facilities, but gym, sauna, onsen and pool have to be paid extra and at high prices. That left a very bitter aftertaste. The room was large but a bit dated and could be cleaned better. The service at the reception could be nicer and speak better English. However, the rest of the service staff were extremely nice and helpful. Early check-in was possible free of charge. The hotel is very close to Kobe airport, but only offers a shuttle service for the train stations. Why not also for the airport is somewhat questionable.

This is a beachfront budget hotel. While the hotel doesn't offer dining services, there are plenty of great food options nearby. I highly recommend Tsurumaru Udon; it's run by an older gentleman and a young person, and we ended up eating there twice during our stay in Awaji. The beach is a public bathing area and gets quite busy with local Japanese tourists during the summer. It's quite natural and largely unmaintained, giving it a rustic charm. We traveled to Awaji by bus from Kobe Sannomiya, and the hotel is conveniently just a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. At the same bus stop, you can purchase a 1000 JPY day pass for various attractions, but be aware that bus services are infrequent. It's advisable to check the timetable at the station beforehand. Besides the udon place, we also tried Ura Shokudo and Kintaro Sushi. Ura Shokudo is a local cafeteria-style restaurant where you pick your dishes and pay at the counter. Their tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) and noodles are made fresh to order. Kintaro Conveyor Belt Sushi is very popular; we had to queue both times we visited, so I'd suggest going during off-peak hours.

The view outside the room is great as it is close to Kobe Harbour (not quite sure) but it is pity that the soundproofing not quite well as we can hear noise passed from another guest room. And I don’t recommend the dinner buffet here because the menu is limited Overall it is good ,the surrounding of the hotel is very beautiful

Just a few mins away from both Sannomiya station and Motomachi area. Equipped with a public bath facility and the coin laundry. (There was a queue after 9pm. Go for it earlier!) Staff were attentive and helpful. Only drawback- the view of my room was like completely blocked by other buildings, and we were not able to get enough natural lights. It was even darker than the average at night.

The hotel is ideally situated between Sannomiya and Motomachi Stations, making both easily accessible on foot. It's right on a shopping street and surrounded by many convenience stores, making the location superb. While the room was a bit small overall, the bathroom was quite spacious, and the wet/dry separation was a huge plus. The rooms are well-appointed and felt very clean. The lobby offers self-service amenities like skincare products and tea bags. There's also a self-service laundry room on the 10th floor where you can wash a good amount of clothes for just 600 JPY – perfect for families on vacation. The staff are fluent in English and highly professional. Both check-in and check-out are self-service, which is very convenient. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kobe.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a five-minute walk from Koshien Station. Right next door is the Corowa Shopping Mall, making trips to the supermarket and Muji incredibly convenient. Kidszania and Lalaport are also a short distance away, perfect for family outings. Additionally, the buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious options, ensuring a great start to the day. Highly recommend!

Quite a nice hotel. Accessible to places via walking. The room is clean and comfortable. Daily changing of towels and bath robes is provided (may not be that environmental friendly). It will be good to provide a few hangers 😊 Otherwise, it's been a pleasant stay in the hotel.

ZZhezidashuA very satisfying trip to Awaji Island was made even better by our hotel. Everything was arranged in the best way. We changed buses from Kyoto and confirmed the pick-up station through the Ctrip platform. When we arrived, it was still early, so we took the free shuttle bus to go shopping (with luggage back to the hotel). We used the coupons to buy lunch and ice cream at Hello Kitty. When checking in, the male waiters all kneel down to serve, and confirm the information of dinner and going out the next day. The room we stayed in is a single-family round house like a yurt with a viewing balcony and a wooden bath. The details of the room are all local characteristics (dressing box, free mini bar/dessert, washbasin are all petrified wood). The central roof is transparent and empty, and you can also observe the stars. We enjoyed the food here for 5 days, especially the dinner was not repeated and changed in various styles. What surprised me was that the waitress could perform saxophone and flute at dinner, and there was a restaurant like a stage on the island where you could also enjoy the waiter's musical performance. The 20,000 consumption vouchers given for 5 days are enough for you to go out for free at noon. We also bought Hello Kitty exclusive gifts for the children at the Big Apple with the vouchers. This trip to Awaji Island is more memorable than the trip to Kyoto, and the people are simple and honest. Everyone is working hard to promote tourism in Awaji Island, which is worthy of praise. I will bring my children here next time.

AAnonymous User对不是日本人完全不友善的酒店 Not foreigner ( Western & Asian) friendly. We travelled around 70 Roykan in the last 3 years and this is the wrost service we ever had. Japanese get to seat and offered juices when they checked in while we have to stand at the front desk and no juice offered. We asked for the yukata rental (free rental) and the young staff just ignore us twice. We asked for sizes a few times then he just said it’s all here. Then when we picking the only two small sizes he grabbed and give it to the Japanese girl and ignore us or never ask us before he took it as he knows we are looking into those. Very rude. Most of ryokan will bring you to the room or assist to bring luggage or already put in the room for you. This one you do everything yourself after check in. When we get into the hotel room it’s hot as no aircon is on. Then air con is broken so we called reception. With their broken English they insisted I don’t know how to turn on the aircon which I told them the air con is broken, after 15mins on the phone showing me how to on I keep telling them to send the staff up as we are so hot in the room as it’s summer and no window open and no fan was on after moving luggage. They came up and fix the air con for 45mins then told us it’s broken and need to change room. The whole hour we were sweating but no offer of water / drinks or anything and we just stand in the room while they fixing. When they decided the room need to be changed, they asked us to wait downstairs but leave the luggage in the room so we thought they will move luggage to the new room but they did not. Staff see us so hot at lobby didn’t tell us there is free drinking machine that we can get ice juices , they just watch us hot and sweat and not saying a word. When the new room is finished, they gave us the new room key and asked us to move the luggage ourself and return the old key. No help at all and wasted 1.5 hours of our onsen time. No apologies as well. I feel like being treated like a trash. Not enjoyable at all. I paid extra for the sea view room which when they change my room they offered a slightly bigger room but my sea view was mostly blocked (in the pic )which I am not so happy. There is amenities corner at the lobby, at night after the onsen we come back and want to take the lotion as early on it was gone and they didn’t replenish, the female staff have a bad attitude and flip her eyes ask us which room we stayed, we showed her the key and she said the cream is already in the room which her broken English. There is one set in the room but those are small one time pack which we finish after we had the onsen so we want to take another one. She was rude and insist we can’t take. Her attitude was so bad seems like we are stealing. There is an amenities cornor, if you not allowing guest to take please do not have this setup. Food is okay with the buffet. Wagyu beef is nice but they is a normal standard for Japanese onsen buffet nothing too special. Overall, with the price paying compare to other roykan in Japan, this hotel have very bad service to non Japanese. There is also nothing special for this onsen. Probably best to try somewhere else.

TTrebasFantastic location near train station, malls, shops, cafe, restaurants and temple (5-10mins). We are appreciative of the range of toiletries made available (we particularly liked the hair bands, brush & wash loofah). We enjoyed night get together at the lounge with free drinks & ice cream (8-10pm) that provided a good resting point before our late night shopping at Don Quijote which was just across the road. However, we did not like the self check in process. We initially booked 2 rooms for 5 persons (Deluxe Twin Room with extra Side Bed & a Standard Twin). But added another Comfortable Double room when a 6th person joined. Despite we explained that we now had 2 guests to a room, the hotel issued 3 cards to the 1st room & could only issue a card to the last room. Very rigid. There is an ironing room for those who need to press their outfits. It is a tad inconvenient to lug our clothes and hangers & water for the steam iron to do the chore. Overall, I would recommend the hotel esp for families.

AAnonymous UserGreat that the hotel has shuttle bus service from Sannoymiya station, and the service is fantastic. It was hassle free and easy to get to the hotel. Other services were great as well, however, the laundry service was less than great. There are not enough washing machines for the size of the hotel, and many guests are always queuing for the washing machine. Also, the bell captain is inconsistent with the way of managing the laundry queue. Sometimes, there is a waiting list for guests to register on, while other times, there is a need to wait in person for the key to be available.

ZZoBoThe facilities are new and beautiful, and the location is very close to the pier. It is very convenient to take a boat, but the surrounding area is deserted. It is best to eat or buy something before checking in. You can eat in the lobby. But there may be no seats if there are too many people

독락당The Unizo Inn was one of the best locations I have stayed at in Japan. The room, relative to Japanese standards, is quite spacious and their degree of cleanliness is enough for even me, someone seldom fickle about cleanliness, to perceive. In addition, they also have a water dispenser situated just outside the elavator in the hallway leading to the room for anyone who might need some hydration. On the other side of the water dispenser was a VOD ticket machine for any guests interested in viewing the hotel's selection of movies. While I did not make use of this service, I am certain there are some travellers who would be most pleased to have something to entertain them even in their room. While I did not decide to have breakfast included with my room for the duration of my stay, the area in which the hotel is located makes it a prime location to acquire breakfast, whether that be a Matsuya right below the hotel or, my preference, Yoshinoya a little ways away. On the note of location, though, the hotel is well situated near Sannomiya station, giving ease of access to other regions of Kobe. That said, the wealth of restaurants and stores near the station alone could probably keep one interested in food occupied for a while. The staff were overall very friendly and the experience as a whole was most enjoyable. One point to note, however, was that like every other hotel I have been to in Japan, there is a stark absence of three-holed outlets so North Americans with three-pronged plugs should be aware of this and come prepared with an adapter of some sort.
