A wonderful hotel in the heart of Dublin. For the price it's absolutely gorgeous. Trinity College is 15 minutes away, St. Patrick's Cathedral is only 10 minutes away. There are many cafes and shops nearby

I booked this hotel for my husband who was on a business trip and decided to come along as it gave me a chance to visit Dublin. Am so glad I did. I had a polished, gracious welcome, a lovely room (thankfully facing away from the main streets) which was quiet, stylish but most of all, very comfortable. I enjoyed the vibe in the lobby, it’s well used by guests as well as locals and the breakfast was generous and extensive.
It’s always great when a hotel will continue to look after you after check out and my bags were taken care of and transport advice offered. Perfect stay!

I had a really lovely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Dublin City Centre! The location is perfect—right by the River Liffey and just a short walk from the city’s main sights. My room was super clean and cozy, with a comfy bed and a great view of the river from the window. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, always happy to give tips on where to eat or what to see. I also really enjoyed breakfast at Oly’s Bar & Restaurant—good variety and tasty food. It felt like a nice balance between comfort and convenience, especially with the 24-hour gym and business center. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Dublin!

The hostel is ok for a night, but keep in mind it is very loud as there is a bar in the lobby that goes on untill 11pm or later even on weekdays. And there is no quite place if you need to be on an online meeting - no kitchen or common room except for the reception/bar. Other than that, the room was quite fine. Several of the toilet doors were malfunctioning.

Nice, cosy hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff! Great breakfast!
The room was clean - not very big, but it had everything needed, plus a nice view.
The air conditioning was really helpful; it would’ve been quite difficult to sleep with the windows open, given the busy roads right outside.
The bathroom is small but ergonomic.
A real downside is the bathroom door - it’s made of glass and basically useless, as it’s not soundproof at all.

Good hotel only across the river from the main part of Dublin town and not far from the Guinness storehouse staff were amazing and the bar was great and had a lovely atmosphere.
The rooms were clean and had good amenities and the rooms even came fitted with marshal speakers and this is the first hotel that I wouldn’t just recommend to family and friends but insist on.
Really Good Hotel, the Room was Quite and big. The Recepcionsits were really Friendly. They Clean the Room everyday. The Location is Great, really close from the Train Station and the Phoenix Park.

Location of hotel is good & lobby looks nice. Initially there was an issue with the shower drainage & after reporting to Reception (Marcio), it was resolved. Appreciate Marcio took care of the problem showing he's attentive to customers feedback.

AAlanI found the hotel really handy. It’s right on the Luas line. There’s a nice park and some great pubs nearby, which made the location even better.
I was able to park my car near the hotel overnight, which was very convenient since I had to leave early the next morning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep.
FFUNickThe kitchen equipment and bed are very comfortable, but it is painful to have no elevator. In addition, the instructions need to be clearer and breakfast is very nutritious!
TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
GGuest UserI would definitely recommend the bonnington to friends, the staff where so lovely and welcoming and the location was brilliant the hotel itself is beautiful so I would 100% recommend
CColin CraigThe hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.
KKa W HoNo one reply my in-app message so I have to call. And it’s weird that the receptionist is not clear about my Gold membership benefits such as late checkout and free breakfast but what I find the most disrespectful is that the receptionist has to ask the duty manager for my requests yet the manager was just chatting with other staff and she never smile at me whenever I pass by and look at her. I’d love to stay again but the reception should be trained properly again.
GGuest UserComfortable, well-located hotel with friendly staff and well-equipped rooms and comfortable beds. The only things that spoiled our stay slightly were the overcooked bacon and the ”orange juice” which was just diluted orange squash - not remotely acceptable in a 4 star hotel.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel!
Great location with Dublin Airport only approx 10 minute drive.
Safe, secure car park on site
Convenient shuttle bus service
Lovely, spacious bar/restaurant with great choice of food and drinks. Plus, 24hr coffee dock beside bar.
Friendly staff
This was my third stay in the hotel, most recently, April 2025 I stayed in a rooftop balcony suite. King-size bed, living area, balcony and loads more. Great comfy rooms
AAnonymous UserGreat one night experience, left wishing for more nights. Staff were amazing and easy to talk to. Definitely recommend it and it’s our new hotel of first choice going forward.
AAnonymous UserGenerally a nice hotel, good for staying for short periods, just the sound proof is a bit bad, can hear everything from outside the corridor, and would be nice if there’s additional locker on the door, will feel much safer
