Our stay at the Mecure Bedford was lovely. The hotel is well located close to the city centre and a beautiful river with swans. The check in was quick and easy and the lady that checked us in was lovely. The hotel room felt a bit basic with no tooth brushes tea bags or cups in the room or mini fridge in the room.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing it made up for any downsides. The selection of food at the breakfast buffet was great. The coffee was top tier as well. Well done!
Enjoyed our stay and will return for that breakfastšš
Great hotel for convenience to Luton airport.. one short bus journey away... staff were incredibly helpful and patient when I had a problem with payment card (Leah you were a star!). Room was spacious and spotless, cooked buffet breakfast hot, and lots of variety for cold options. Tea/Coffee available at reception 24hrs... All in all, a lovely atmosphere and I highly recommend it, especially for stop overs for airport travellers... parking is available just outside the front door, and a large mall is conveniently located tight next door for those things u may have forgotten to pack!!
Hard to listen to the traumatic stories of families awaiting social housing to house them.
The staff are all caring and professional.
Itās evident that they are a good team.
Iāve stayed in three different rooms, all very comfortable!
We loved our stay here! Itās a very well designed hotel, with a special history and lots of unique touches throughout. Our room overlooked the river, and had all the usual things you expect from a nice hotel plus some excellent artworks. The only thing to note is that even though this is a spa hotel, the spa isnāt included in the hotel rate- we hadnāt realised that that needed to be booked separately. There were no issues fitting us in though!
The staff is friendly and the breakfast was available for early fright travelers. No hot foid provided. The room is dusty and in dark blue colour. Many dust on the bedding, so I couldnt sleep because of allergies. I wont book the hotel again although the hotel is closed to luton airport.
First time visiting Bedford and I loved this quick hotel here. Walkable distance to the train station, a few restaurants nearby and short distance to the center for shopping and food.
.
Greeted upon arrival with a smile, the rooms pretty small for a 6ā3 athletic guy such as myself. However, itās functional with everything you need.
Location and surrounding felt safe. As I was only staying for 1 night and had been invited to breakfast the following morning, elsewhere, I didnāt have the need to take up the offer of that facility. Maybe next time, as I was impressed with the hotel and their friendly staff, on the whole. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have no negative comments to make.
ļæ¼The bed is placed between a pillar and the window sill. The bed cannot be dropped from the left or right. It can only be dropped from one side, which is very inconvenient! The photo is not like this, I feel like I have been deceivedš„¹
There was no refill shower gel in the bathroom, so I had to step out in the middle of the shower and look for shower gel in my suitcase to complete the showering processšš
The bed is very soft and the quilt is relatively simple. I even found one or two short hairs on the bedš„²
The good thing is that the decoration of the hotel is relatively newšš¼ and the service staff are quite polite.

GGuest UserI booked and paid for a superior room based on your offer, as I have stayed in this room before. However, I was given a shabby, small room, number 14. It seems rooms 14 and 15 are reserved for guests you no longer wish to see. The explanation from the friendly receptionist was that the hotel was fully booked, which was not true. She tried to make up for the situation with a practical gift from Champneys, but the claustrophobic room and the difficulty of accessing it with a large suitcase after a long journey were unpleasant. The hotel incorrectly judged me based on my attire, even though I intended to use their facial massage services, which were very professional, as were their massages and the products they use. Everything that was old seven years ago is now seven years older and even more worn out. Breakfasts are modest but healthy. They could use more fresh herbs, which they once grew in the spa gardens, now overgrown with weeds. Guests leave their plates and glasses on the lawn, and no one picks them up promptly. The spa lacks organization, except on weekends when older women step in to help, solving problems more quickly and efficiently. I am disappointed because it is not fair to deceive customers regarding room types. While the room lacked nothing and was regularly cleaned, it was next to a smelly toilet, and I was promised a superior room but given a standard one, as indicated on the temporary card received upon arrival. However, I must commend the lady who has diligently worked there for 30 years. It would be nice if she were friendly even when not promoting their services. If improvements are not made to the facilities and surroundings, there is no reason for me to return specially after the room switch and no difference in the price.
GGuest UserHotel was ok,my room was on 1floor,but it felt it was on the ground floor.Very dark, the gd thing was that there was a fridge in the room. Not soo keen on a tine toilet-shower bit bit odd as u were flooding whole bathroom lol.Even though i requested not connecting room,i got one lol,but thank gd there was nobody on the other sideā¦.room very small and claustrophobic.
JJet YThe hotel is near the train station and easy to access. There is also bus stop nearby which could bring us to the Luton Airport within 30 mins. In conclusion, the hotel location is very convenient.
The accommodation is in the basic standard level and acceptable. It is a considerable option if you wish to stay for 1 or 2 nights only with few budgets.

Nnabiki2I was only here a few hours for a rest during a long layover, but it was a great decision. Comfortable bed, hot tea service in the room, bar in the lobby. Itās a 12 minute walk to the airport. Extremely convenient and refreshing.
