The hotel reception staff were amazing and very friendly. The hotel is renovated and clean and in a perfect location. However, the room service is charged and they don't provide still water in the rooms, the fees of the water is very expensive in comparison to supermarkets.

LLet’s try 2025.03.01
It was close to Catalunya Square within 7-8 minutes on foot, so it was nice to be able to get there without transferring from Barcelona Airport by airport bus. The temperature inside was low, but the information desk provided an additional heater, so I stayed warm without any problems. Also, as shown in the attached photo, the night view of the street, including the lighting store visible from the window, was beautiful.

It is suitable for stays of more than one week. The front desk sometimes has Chinese people. It is convenient to communicate. It is recommended to rent a car. The airport taxi is about 30 Euros to the hotel. The 94/95 bus at the hotel entrance is 2.2 Euros directly to Plaza de España and Catal. Ronia Square, the car is about 40 minutes without traffic jam, it is very convenient

It’s great for its price given the location is accessible and where all touristy activities happen. I like that I have my own room with window and private bathroom for a very affordable price. It is also near the TikTok-viral restaurant, Colom, where I ate Paella twice. 🫣🤣❤️ It is also near Barcelona Cathedral! ❤️

Highly recommended. We had a wonderful stay here. It's quiet and the location is excellent, right next to a superb restaurant called H83. Just 20 meters to the right, there's a mid-sized supermarket with very good prices. A bus stop is only 100 meters to the left, and a metro station is 500 meters to the right, making transportation incredibly convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This was by far the best accommodation experience we had during our month-long trip in Europe. Our room, 606, was a comfortable size and very thoughtfully laid out. It was incredibly quiet; we didn't experience any noise disturbances at all during our entire 7-day stay.

GGuest UserA short stay for of 2 days was booked with Triip.com for one adult and 2 children under 10, to join us who were booked in a day earlier for three days. Our three day booking was direct with the hotel, half board. The hotel is marked 'adults recommended' and they sure discourage children, by seeking to charge per occupancy rather than simply on a cost per room. The Trip site quite fairly offered the room at the rate for two adults, with children under 12 free, so this is what was paid. Half board was added but at the rate for two adults, which would be greater than the actual hotel rate for one adult and two children, but I was happy to have reserved restaurant secured. Things got messy at check in, the hotel insisting that the room was occupied by three 'persons' as they put it and should therefore be 50% extra, though the room was the same type as the twin we had for two adults. The Hotel also insisted that only breakfast was provided, and tried to argue that the B2B rate from the third party (Trip) was insufficient. I politely pointed out that the discounts provided to third party agents was no concern of the customer, and referred to my booking voucher which clearly stated I had booked a twin room, into which was going 1 adult, two very small children, and that breakfast and dinner was paid for, with the rate for 1 adult being greater than twice the local charge for a child. They were impossible to deal with, and I left the reception angry and upset. I contacted the Trip representative and by that evening it was sorted. Full marks to Trip, zero to the hotel. As for our stay, the hotel is excellent, but with room to improve. Dinner in the Buffet only commences at 8.00, resulting in quite the bunfight if the restaurant is busy. It was on that Thursday, a national holiday, and it was impossible to order wine and beverages after we seated, with a single service person taking orders. We ate our food dry, and finally placed an order for wine and water while eating dessert, some 40 minutes after seating. The same bottleneck occurred the next morning at breakfast, with the four snail paced Nespresso machines totally incapable of dealing with the coffee demands. Worse, all 4 machines overheated and went into 'service mode'. Worse again, these obviously unsuitable barista machines were the only source of hot water for Tea or infusions, but with no seperate hot water dispenser faucet. You had to stand for almost 2 minutes while the machine slowly dispensed through the coffee outlet, a single mug of hot water, to the frustration of the queue behind. This needs sorting, it took ages to get a breakfast beverage every morning, and on the second day I had to return 4 floors to my room and fill my cup from the in room Nespresso maker. I'd advise to bring a travel kettle with you. Otherwise, a fine hotel, but the restaurant problems and discriminatory pricing for children are an issue, so not a hotel for children.

KKimmyg43I had high hopes for this ”4star hotel” From the pictures and the previous reviews everything seemed like it was too good to be true... Arrival was average, had to ask which way to go to get to my allocated room (normally you are directed by a member of reception atleast) Arrived at my room (104) 1st floor. Opened the door to a bright airy room..my first thoughts were this is lovely. Dropped my bags and took a shower and that's where things started to go downhill...let me explain... Now I am aware this is not 5 star but if im being totally honest I have stayed in cleaner 2 star hotels... The attention to detail from the cleaners is just way below par for a 4 star establishment. Shower door covered in limescale (easy to put right with a bit of Elbow grease) Mold and nasties around the outer edge of the shower door (see pics) Splash marks all over the tiles at the side of the sink (like old toothpaste marks) Sink wouldn't drain properly (seemed to be blocked) Skirting boards definitely hadn't been given a wipe for a good few weeks/months All standard/basic stuff that you would expect from any hotel and certainly from a 4 star one or am I being picky? Then there was the call to reception to ask for some milk so I could make a coffee (kettle is provided in room) Receptionist said they don't have fresh milk only 'powdered sachets' of the most vile tasting milk I've ever had (think baby milk/gone off normal milk) Apparently the restaurant was closed so they could not access it to get some fresh milk? Receptionist advised me to go to the supermarket..which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel 🤦♀️ As it happens there is a coffee machine outside the reception entrance so I found myself nipping downstairs to buy one from there. (Not the most convenient but we move forward) I had read that there was a rooftop restaurant in the flyer as advertised but when I asked about it apparently it is no longer there? The restaurant is only open at breakfast times so no food is available not even snacks? However they advertise room service so unsure how that works? Outdoor pools closed which is fine but you couldn't even sit on the loungers hence....nowhere to sit outside the hotel itself. Such a shame that all these little things build and in turn let it down as a 4 star advertised hotel. Now for the positives... The view from the room of the sea is beautiful It is literally across the road from miles of sandy beaches There are a couple of lovely restaurants nearby that are open from 12 noon for brunch/dinner and reasonably priced. The area itself is super quiet and feels safe enough as a solo traveller.

DDara TanLocker is available for store luggages before check in time @ 2euro. Hotel is clean, staff is ok. Wall is thin like what other comments said but you can solve problem by your earphone. Bed is comfort, recommended. It is in walking distance to sagrada familla. About 30 mins far from airport, taxi cost will be around 50euro. Microwave is available at first floor and there is a coffee/bakery shop which open since 6.30am. Suitable for anyone who will leave hotel very early morning.

TTravel-HolicThis was the finest of experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Even before our trip had begun, the holiday vibe had already started, 2 weeks prior to our flight. A member of hotel reception staff at the B&B in Sant Cugat, a beautiful soul, a lady by the name of Maria Faatemah had won us over with her swift responses to our queries and concerns. The more we responded, the more our mind and hearts were at ease. Always polite and courteous with so much manners and always ready to help us with whatever we presented her with. 2 weeks fast forward - We were welcomed with her sincere wholesome smile and she already knew who we were as soon as she saw is approaching the reception desk. This is someone who is connected with herself and showed is compassion from the get-go. She served us as though she was the leader and she didn't let us feel uncomfortable even though we didn't speak much Spanish. She showed us to our room and told us to feel free to ask her should we need anything. We had a slight situation with our air-condition unit and within 10 minutes she had that resolved by giving us an extra room until the maintenance man fixes the A/C. The second room was beautiful and I slept their for 2 days and it was a great experience. Faatemah called taxi's for us, ordered food for us, she translated Spanish to English and she even guided us towards the best tourist spots. It really felt like she had gone above and beyond, at no extra cost. Even the kids were saying they wanted to buy her something as a thank you present for her amazing service and beautiful mannerism. Faatemah was incredibly professional, compassionate and offered such a lovely service that we all fell in love with Spain (Barcelona) and would love to go back, just for experiencing this service again. Faatemah is much more than a lady behind the reception desk and I hope you all the best in the future and I hope you progress to become something bigger and better and that others are also receptive enough to appreciate you. Thank you Maria Faatemah for being such a wonderful host and your hospitality is so very appreciated. We all Look forward to visiting you real soon. Have a beautiful life and I wish you nothing but the best in this life and the next. Kind regards, Amer Khan and family PeaceX

GGuest UserI found this hotel miserable from many aspect. We arrived at midnight from the airport and we’re given the last room left. The room has a distinct smell that almost like a man’s underarm. We asked for a double room but it was two single beds put together. The shower head had a 30s hot water and 5s cold water loop. The bath tub was blocked. We asked for a change and were given an upgrade queen bed room the next day, thank you for that. Unfortunately, the new room still has the underarm smell but a bit less, and also a new smell like it’s been a very old room with unventilated smell from some furnitures or the wall. The shower head problems was still there. The location is alright, despite quite a distance from the metro station, you can still take the buses.

Amazing
TTeeks Pros: - The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful - If you request something, such as an iron etc., it’s always on time and without delay - Everything was clean. I cannot complain about the cleaning standards. Cons - the room is quite dark despite the lights available - The view, especially the back view, was dreary and depressing, considering I had a long flight from Asia compared to my sister, who flew from Europe and didn’t need the rest as much as I did. Every day, I woke up to a very depressing view. It’s not ideal, and it's poor for someone who may enjoy visuals. - The sockets were annoying; one didn’t work, and the kettle station needed to be handheld or changed elsewhere. Twice, I held the kettle button down manually to make coffee because I couldn’t be bothered for someone to come and check or replace it as I was in a rush - The furniture and carpets are outdated in style and appearance. It makes the hotel look way older - There’s a door holder behind the bathroom door, which lands in the middle, next to the toilet. I hurt myself a few times because I keep forgetting it’s there and, therefore, poorly designed - Unfortunately, we forgot to bring our toothpaste and toothbrush, though I wasn’t expecting Best Western not to have them in your room. You have to request them every day. The housekeeper didn’t leave them or free water for us daily, only on the first day. So I’m not sure if she’s been forgetting to give us any, or it’s only complimentary water on day 1. - The wardrobe is tiny and in such a hidden, awakened position. It was dark black and looked like glass. We had to call the staff to show us. It’s in a weird place - Slippers: Again, much like the water, we were only given slippers on the first day. I understand the need to go green, but given that we stayed for four nights, it would be hygienic to give us a new set. On the last day, we had to wear our own shoes inside the room, which wasn’t great. - We paid € 15 additional for breakfast daily €. It was basic but not bad. But the time until 10:30AM is good. Overall, was it worth the money we paid for four nights? No. The only highlights were ,mentioned among the professional staff members and cleanliness standards.

DDr. Julio BernalAt first I was concerned about the location of the hotel. Nothing to be worried about. The hotel is near the train station. (20 minutes walk). There are several options for dining around the hotel. The facilities are well kept (sauna/pool). The room was spacious and comfortable. Something to improve would be the operating ours for the bar. They close at 11. You could not get even a bottle of water unless you go and walk at least 10 minutes. Things that can improve for future travelers. 1. The attitude of the people in the lobby should represent the hotel brand. There was a staff person in the checking counter( I don’t know his name, male in his 30s…) yelling to another coworker and he didn’t mind if there were guests or not around. Truly unkind and unprofessional. 2. The restrooms in the lobby need a lot of maintenance. There were broken toilets and faucets. Besides these observations, this place is a very good option if you want to stay outside Barcelona.
