Hotel well located close to the entrance to Torres del Pine national park. A highlight is the rooms that offer views of the Torre del Pine massifs. A painting through the bedroom window. Highlights include the SPA and swimming pool, which is very good for resting and relaxing at the end of the day.
Good breakfast, but not excellent. Restaurant and bar with good ala carte menu options. Very weak wine list for the price of the hotel and the dishes. Still remembering that Chile is a country with so many good winery options.

I recently had a great time at Hotel Cabo de Hornos in Punta Arenas, Chile. I was impressed by the service, comfort and location of this hotel, which is a great choice for exploring southern Chile.
1. Excellent location
The hotel is located in the heart of Punta Arenas, opposite Plaza Muñoz Gamero. There are many historical buildings, restaurants and museums nearby, which can be easily reached on foot. If you want to experience the magnificent scenery of the Strait of Magellan, the coast is just a few minutes' walk from the hotel.
2. Comfort and facilities
The hotel's design combines modern comfort with the warm atmosphere of traditional Patagonian style. The rooms are spacious and bright, with simple but sophisticated decoration, comfortable large beds and high-quality bedding. The heating in the room performed well, especially in the cold southern climate. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of hot water.
The public areas are also very elegant, especially the hotel's lobby and bar area, which are suitable for taking a nap or chatting with friends. The hotel also provides a small gym and meeting rooms to meet the different needs of business or leisure travelers.
3. Service Quality
The service team at Cape Horn Hotel deserves praise. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was friendly and professional. They were happy to answer questions, helped me plan day trips, and provided many useful suggestions, especially about local restaurants and visits to the Magellanic Penguin Sanctuary.
4. Dining Experience
The hotel restaurant's dining is excellent, focusing on Patagonian flavors and local Chilean specialties. The breakfast is very rich, serving fresh bread, eggs, cheese, fruits and local desserts. For dinner, it is recommended to try their lamb chops or seafood, paired with Chilean wine, which is a taste experience.
5. Overall Value for Money
Although the price of Cape Horn Hotel is on the high side, it is definitely worth it considering the high-quality service it provides and the convenient location. For travelers looking for a comfortable and luxurious experience, this is an excellent choice.
Overall Review
Cape Horn Hotel is a boutique hotel that combines historical style with modern comfort. Whether you want to experience the natural landscape of southern Chile or explore the cultural charm of Punta Arenas, it can meet your expectations. The warm atmosphere, excellent service and unbeatable location made me very satisfied with this stay.

The staff was very nice and helpful.
The entrance area, the bar and the restaurant were very nice and good - the room was a bit smaller than expected and had the window in a shaft.
The gym consisted of a collection of (older) sports equipment, but was OK if you don't have high expectations.
The wellness area borders directly on the fitness area, seemed extremely uncomfortable and we would have had to pay another $20 per person, which definitely wouldn't have been worth it.

Very comfortable three nights, this price is simply great value. The room can directly see the snowy mountains and lakes in the distance, with an excellent view. It is also very close to the town, very suitable for morning and evening walks. The service is very good. I went to Gray Glacier and the day trip of Baini are booked through the front desk. The front desk is very happy to help. The sanitary environment is very good.

The town is mainly composed of homestays, which are relatively simple overall, with simple facilities. It would be nice to have more clothes racks and bigger trash cans. The hotel breakfast is relatively simple. The location is close to the coast and commercial area, and the service is friendly.

The service was great and professional. We stayed only for 2 nights to go on the boat tour to the antarctic. I'm really happy towards the end where we checked out but we were allowed to keep our luggages at the hotel while we explored the city for the last time. The young staff, didn't catch his name, was very helpful and assisted us with ordering a 🚕. Only downside would be the carpet in the room didn't look very clean, but aside from that it was great.

__nkahaniThe Veat is soso , compared to other hotel / hostel in perto natales ,The Veat is much more clean but the price is double. For the Breakfast , I think it’s soso , the breakfast time is start @6:30 , as the staff said , if u got any plan and u hv to leave before 6:30 , u hv to request to them. Then , they will make u the breakfast earlier / takeout. I did requested for the early breakfast , but I got rejected . Also , There’s a restaurant called Santolla , I think Santolla it’s a “must” to try !

JJelle SThis place deserves 10 stars out of 5, its perfectly located, very close to the bus terminal, super market across the street, the host is super friendly, really lovely decorated place, PERFECT BEDS AND SHOWERS, good breakfast, luggage storage when you check out later, walking distance to everything, I don't think you can find a better place to stay in Punta Arenas. Probably one of the best places I stayed in Patagonia!
JJayyy3126Great place for the price. The WiFi signal is weak for the rooms at the back it kept disconnecting. The heater was not working that well the one in the bathroom worked well though but there were abundant blankets. Other than that for the price it was a great place. The girl that takes care of the place is a darling. Always willing to help. Location was great very close to the central plaza and the waterfront.

CCarmyThe omelette for breakfast was good and this hostel was a good location being a short walking distance to the restaurants/cafes/bars. Our room in the corner on the ground floor smelled like sewage but the room next to it did not smell and it was clear that the hostel knew about this without informing us.
