Real de la Palma

I did a full buyout of Hotel Real De La Palma for my wedding guests in April 2022 (26 rooms) and it was an EXCEPTIONAL experience from start to finish. From the very first email I sent inquiring about pricing, Isabel (the hotel manager & event planner) was incredibly helpful and courteous. I had never been to Zihua before, so I put a ton of trust in Isabel to help me plan the perfect event. She far exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to make sure each of our 60 guests had all the info they needed to feel at ease about their visit, and even coordinated airport pickups and payments with everyone individually. She was always quickly available to answer my many questions in the several months leading up to my wedding week, and when we finally arrived, things truly got even better. The property is STUNNING, with lush green foliage everywhere that is meticulously maintained. The rooms were super clean, stylish, comfortable and beautiful. The two pools were also beautiful and clean, and the layout of the property made it just perfect for our group. We were able to play our own music and really make the property feel like our own private oasis. On-site massages were fantastic too, much better than the ones that are offered on the beach! Location is perfect, just 3 minutes walk down the road to the beach (Playa Ropa) and we all felt very safe walking around this area even at night. Security was wonderful, there was a big gate they closed at night to help our guests have peace of mind and there was always a night guard available to let in any guests who came home later after it had been closed. It was also very easy to get taxis to the hotel, which usually arrived within 5 mins of the hotel staff calling them on our behalf. The on-site restaurant & bar were absolutely amazing. Food was fresh and flavourful and our guests said it was the best food they had anywhere in Zihua during their vacation. They also offered poolside service which was an awesome bonus for us. Drinks were cold and strong and readily available, and every single bartender and server we met was friendly and wonderful. We especially appreciated that Isabel and the team were able to arrange individual cheques for food & drinks for us, that they kept as running tabs for each guest room throughout the week. Guests were just able to pay for everything they'd ordered at the end of the week when they checked out, which was certainly no small feat to keep organized! We also were lucky enough to have the Real De La Palma team organize a beautiful group dinner for us on the property's courtyard. It was beautifully decorated with local flowers and fairy lights, the set menu they put together for us was divine, and it was a highlight of our wedding week. I can't thank Isabel, Maria (the owner, who was also super kind and accommodating) and the entire hotel and restaurant staff enough for creating such a positive and memorable wedding week for us. It was truly a 5-star experience across

The host was great.

This is a very nice smaller boutique hotel. We have stayed here a number of times over the past 8 years and have always enjoyed the staff, the restaurant, the grounds and decor. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach in La Ropa but we are both more than happy tonight enjoy the two pools on the property. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. There was entertainment quite a few nights in the restaurant which was all enjoyable. Ran into lots of people who go there year after year so that speaks for itself.
