If you want an exceptional vacation, this is the hotel where you can achieve it. The entire staff is thoroughly professional, including housekeepers. The hotel has a lot of stairs, but that doesn't stop you from having a great time. The pools, the beach, and even the in-room air conditioning are excellent. Even the smoking area is open 24 hours a day.

Terrific, gorgeous property. The staff was excellent and the view is one of the best views from a hotel in the area. Downsides: 1. Pool bar closes at 5:30pm 2. No elevator, A LOT of steps to walk. Don’t recommend if overweight or handicapped, or book a lower level room. BUT, the walk is well worth it for the view!

Excellent, family-friendly place in which to enjoy the relaxed lifestyle of Zihuatanejo. The overall architecture is uniquely shaped, with walls and balconies that remind one of a Frank Gehry project and are draped in deep pastel tones of red, orange, olive green and purple. Huge plus at HGV Club Zihua is the hard-working and efficient hotel staff, including Hugo, Miguel, Antonio and Juan at the front desk and bell desk, plus Stephanie, Manuel, Cesareo of the main restaurant, and bartenders David, Alfredo and Elvis. All of these bilingual employees are highly professional, friendly and fun to chat with. Suites and studios are spacious. They feature solid, thick walls, dark orange floor tiling and rustic furniture. The air conditioning and ceiling fans keep you cool all day and night. Rooms feature good-size kitchens with fine tableware. Complimentary washer and dryer are appreciated. The beach is very calm for snorkeling. One can spot quite a lot of tropical fish near the lava rock formations without going out far at all. Mosquitoes, particularly no-see-ums, cover the entire city so bring plenty of strong bug spray. Finally, the waves can be heard from perhaps every room. Some rooms are more prone to a cacophony of unique and loud bird sounds starting around 6:30am. So it's best to sleep early or use noise-canceling ear buds. Very happy on my 2nd stay at this HGV resort and hopefully many more visits to come.

Hilton Zihuatanejo is an amazing property. We had an ocean view studio. The bedroom was very nice but the jewel was the huge balcony patio with dipping pool. The view was so gorgeous and peaceful. All the staff were so helpful and welcoming. Loved the swim up bar and pool right next to the beach. Several restaurants within short walk and town close enough to walk or take a short taxi ride. Definitely would return to this beautiful hotel resort!!

BUGS and Mosquitos! Little ant bug things. I asked to fumigate. I was wondering why I was getting bit by mosquitos when I would avoid going outside at night. Then realized they were in my room. The property is beautiful but tough to navigate. The taxi is going to be 30 pesos more if you want service from the resort. But there is a big hill on the property if you want to walk to the street to catch one Housekeeping was poor. The pool was beautiful the beach seating was great. The room is beautiful but the exterior doors are shutters not real doors and so I believe that’s how I got so many mosquitos . It’s beautiful here but I won’t return .
