Great hotel Don’t expect luxury but given the price point you know this already The rooms are small but functional with everything you need for your stay including a great coffee machine that’s topped up daily. Breakfast is well beyond what I was expecting and had cereals, meats, yoghurts, breads, cheeses, sausages, eggs and probably much more! Plus more really good coffee! Located 5 minutes walk to Bayard ski rental, and an additional 1 minute to the Gornergrat railway taking you up onto the slopes From the hotel, you can be on the train in under 10 minutes. Staff are really helpful and allowed us to keep our bags there on the last day even though we’d checked out. There’s a quick lift to all floors. I would highly recommend the hotel if your plans are to ski all day, go out on an evening and use it as a place to sleep. Would certainly return

I was very happy with interlaken youth hostel and decided to book zermatt youth hostel. Free Good Breakfast, although a toaster would have been nice but they have good coffee machine and good collections of tea bags. Clean property and good view of Matterhorn from dining area! The property did not mention that the bus do not go anymore to 'luchre' stoppage. The property is quite high up in the mountain. The bus left me a place way below to the stoppage. so it was very hard to take luggage up to the property. Also, the distance between Luchre bus stop and the property is also bit long. considering the steepness. Second thing, the property does not have lift! It was really really hard to go up to 3rd floor with luggage. For me, a kind romanian staff helped me to take the suitcase to the 3rd floor. I also find the room (most probably 138 or 134) that I had been given at the very last corner of the corridor, which is fine. but opposite to that room, there is another property whose bedroom or lounge room facing my room, The room does not have curtain. it was very uncomfortable. Interlaken youth hostel has the curtain. not all the room needs curtain, but some room facing other properties, I strongly recommend this small addition. when I mentioned that to the lady, she said, go to a hotel, this is hostel. I replied, Interlaken has curtain. she did not reply. while leaving, the lady staff was very rude and said no one can help you to get the suitcase down. One gentleman was kind and helped me. This property is good. unfortunately, it is not possible perhaps to add lift or change location. but they can add curtain for sure.

Great place in Zermatt. This hotel is centraly located in Zermatt. The staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is great with a lot of variation. The value for money wins big here. Yes, the rooms are not that big, but you will probably stay most of the time outside.

Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers. Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place.

We stayed here in late May of 2024. It's a great location, just a block off the main street and a short walk from the train station. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door instructing us to check in at the Continental Hotel, a couple of doors down. Due to it being off season (even though in late May, Zermatt is packed with visitors), the front desk at the Alphubel was totally shut down. Not a huge deal, but when you need something from the front desk (couldn't get the phone in the room to work at all) and it's raining out, it's kind of annoying. The rooms are comfortable enough. Everything is pretty dated, looks like it's right out of the 1970s. The bathroom is tiny and the shower looks to be about 3 x 3 feet! None of this was an issue for us. The problem was that the wifi in the room was pretty much nonfunctional, about as fast as dial-up if you are lucky enough to connect at all. Wifi was very important to me on this trip so I went next door to the front desk to talk about it. The lack of wifi seemed to be news to them. I asked if anyone had ever complained about it in the past and they said no, which I find very hard to believe. They said I could always come to the lobby and use the wifi there. Not very practical at 11 pm when you're in your PJs. They need to upgrade their wifi if they are going to advertise as having internet service, especially at Swiss prices!

Hotel manager service is very good. Breakfast is also very good, the service location that does not provide lunch or dinner is also convenient, there is an underground parking garage.

It was about 12 minutes walk from Zermatt station. There is no hotel transfer, so use an electric car taxi if necessary. SPAR is open from 7:00 to 20:00 nearby, and most things can be bought. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Migros and Coop in front of the station. Bakery, sports shops, restaurants and bars are also nearby. The ski bus green line bus stop is under the Japanese bridge (Kirchbrücke), and you can get off the bridge by elevator. The Red Line bus stop is at the end of the elevator, so it was a convenient place to go by bus in any direction. There is a front desk when you go up the stairs from the road, but since it is a 2-star Garni Hotel, there is no shared space such as the lobby. There is an elevator. The North Wall Bar & Restaurant is located in the back of the front desk on the 1st floor, and you can enter from the outside. Room 304 was a corner room with a Matterhorn view. The balcony in this room is from the south to the east, so the view was very good. I felt the Matterhorn was quite close. However, there was a construction crane car and it was a little eye-catching. You can smoke on the balcony and rent an ashtray at the front desk. There is a wall on the boundary with the next room, so you can secure privacy. The twin bed is small, but the duvet and pillows are comfortable, so I slept comfortably. You can adjust the temperature of the panel heater yourself. I could hear the sound of the next room a little, but it wasn't enough to bother me. The room was relatively large and had desks and chairs, but there were no sofas. There was a TV and I got information on ski resorts on one channel. Free Wi-Fi was available without any problems. There was a closet and drawer, and it was easy to use even for long stays. There is a safety box inside and you can rent a key at the front desk. There was a hook on the wall where the entrance was put on the coat and skiwear. The bathroom has a bathtub so I was able to heal my fatigue. There was also a dryer, a scale and a panel heater. I didn't have a coffee maker or a hot water heater, so I brought an electric kettle for travel, coffee, etc. There is no refrigerator, but beer is winter, so it was cold enough to put it on the balcony. The ski room, the shoe drying room is on the first floor, you can go by elevator and you can go directly to the road outside. The breakfast buffet was well stocked for 2 stars, with juice, yogurt, ham, cheese, cereal, bread, jam and fruit. There are not many types of bread. Boiled * was a system that I made myself at first, but after the opportunity broke down, I brought it if I ordered it. The entrance door is closed from 20:00 to 7:00, but you can enter the code number to open it. The staff were all cheerful and helpful. The price was reasonable for the location, so I wanted to use it when I went to Zermatt again.

Very amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front? There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much! The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster. We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!

overall assessment was good, the apartment was comfortable. A definite downside (sometimes annoying) was the lack of curtains in the bedroom !!! Difficult access with luggage at the end of the road to the facility Positive scenic values
