We loved Zell am see and this hotel! The staff was super helpful, the food in the restaurant was AMAZING and the room was fabulous.
The only minus was that there was no airconditioning. We got two fans(?) and they helped a bit, but it was still very warm.

Mein zweiter Aufenthalt in Zell. Mit der Hotel Wahl habe ich voll ins Schwarze getroffen: hier stimmt alles. Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht, großzügig, super Ablagemöglichkeiten, total bequemes Bett, offenes Bad mit getrennter Toilette; Dusche kann man voll schließen und die regendusche genießen. Das essen war exzellent; sowohl die Rezeption als auch die beiden Jungs im Restaurant einfach nur Spitze. Ich kann aus eigener Erfahrung sagen, wie schwer es sein kann bei großer Gruppenbelegung auch Individualreisenden gerecht zu werden. Das haben die Mitarbeiter wunderbar gelöst ( ich wurde immer mit meinem Namen angesprochen )Dass dazu noch wunderschönes Wetter kam, war das Sahnehäubchen. Deswegen habe ich auch die Wellness-Angebote nicht genutzt. Sollte ich wieder mal nach Zell kommen, dann nur zum Hirschen. Danke sehr for alles. Liebe Grüße Hartmut

What a wonderful experience! Perfect central location in Zell-am-See, easy access to lake side, mountain lifts and the buses and trains, room spacious and comfortable, meals were high quality and very very tasty. All the staff were friendly and I loved the traditional Austrian clothes that the waiters and waitresses wore. I’ll be back!

What a great hotel. We stayed here for a week in May (booked via TUI Lakes and Mountains) and everything was excellent. The staff are all very friendly, speak excellent English and were so nice to my young son. The bedroom was very modern and the bathroom was excellent, even down to a panorama of Zell am See on the shower screen. The cleanliness was spotless and was refreshed on a daily basis. There was a great range of breakfast buffet items, some of which changed daily. We ate in the restaurant twice and both nights were excellent, again with friendly service. The location is spot-on - right on the edge of the old town centre, but a minute's walk from the central bus station and a couple of minutes from the City Xpress lift. Could not have asked for a better hotel for the week. Thank you.

This was a lovely hotel - particularly in the bar and reception area. We ate at their restaurant and the food was fabulous if a little pricey. The rooms were spacious and clean (we had a superior double) and it’s incredibly well placed in the centre of Zell am See so plenty of buses to other ski areas. The towels were a little on the small side and quite harsh and the body and hair gel was not replaced often enough so we ran out twice. Also there are no tea and coffee facilities but we asked for a kettle! Everything else was great. Ski rental is nearly opposite and train station only a few minutes walk away. Hotel staff very helpful.

Sehr schönes,sauberes hotel mit tollem,reichhaltigem frühstücksbuffet.
Der lift ist fußläufig erreichbar und man ist mitten in der stadt und schnell zum see gelaufen.

Excellent hotel, and wonderful staff. Nothing seemed too much trouble and any request was met with a smile and a helpful response. Excellent Food and atmosphere. Will definitely be our first choice on any return to Zell am Zee, Summer or Winter.

Hotel location close to ski lifts or bus was great. Very easy for access to rest of the town. Staff were nice and the hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast choice was amazing. Bed comfortable, bathroom modern and room was spacious. Did not eat at the hotel at night so can’t comment.
The only negative was the noise from the main road into our room but think this was worse than normal due to underground road below the town being closed during our stay.
If you want ski lessons then we would recommend Matt at the ski school at Schmitten station.
