Shilo Inn Yuma is conveniently located with lots of restaurants within walking distance (200-300 meters). One thing to consider in booking this hotel is that they do not have breakfast. There is what is considered a "mall" adjacent to the hotel but it is outdoors and filled with chain retail establishments and nothing unique. Easy to get to, just off Interstate 8, but you don't hear any highway noise. The hotel is old (I stayed here back in the 1980's) and sometimes it feels that way. Room has the amenities that you need. TV worked but didn't have a lot of channels and it was stuck on an aspect ratio that cut half the picture. The pool was nice but there are a lot of birds in the area and they tend to leave their mark everywhere (especially the deck chairs). They try to keep it clean but those birds are persistent. The staff is friendly and helpful. One thing I noticed and appreciated was the daily room servicing. Many hotels have stopped daily service so it was nice to get towels, the bed made, trash removal, etc. everyday.

Everything was fine and we appreciate the effort made to change our stay date but we booked the hotel hoping to spend time at the very nice pool area but pool was closed. A guest told us it has been closed for six months as they live in the area. That should have been disclosed up front. Otherwise we slept well.

The hotel isn't just dated- it’s run down. The grout is filthy. The balcony is dirty with leaves and dirt. The windows are filthy with grime and hand prints. The carpets are dirty with remnants of animal feces and food. We didn’t request a pet room but we must have got one The bath tub has about a 3” chip on it. The road is loud at night with drag racing at the multiple lane major intersection. Didn’t sleep. We were scheduled for a three week stay but checked out the next morning. The reason we booked it was because of the photos of the pool area but the hot tub was broken and had been for some time. While the staff are good at customer service - the place just doesn’t deliver.

I know I left a review months ago, but it's not on here. We were given a room on the eerily deserted top floor. I think we were one of 5 guests staying here. We asked for a room with a balcony facing the pool. She gave us a view of the parking lot. Why when no one else was on this floor?? The room was HOT. The AC was so loud and sounded as if it was going to die which was probably why it was not on. The beds uncomfortable. The carpet Gross. The ice machine broken for both nights and the guy at the front desk said to go to the hotel next door to get ice. lol. okay? We almost left the first night but it wasn't very cheap when we booked so we dealt with it. With so many choices in Yuma, I would not stay here again.

Friendly staff, beautiful pool grounds, hummingbirds everywhere! The landscape made me feel like I was in Paradise! We will stay here every time we visit Yuma! Located in the heart of the shopping district with a wide selection of restaurants nearby make this place the only choice for our family ❣️

Pool is cloudy and has debris in it. Pool chairs are broken. Elevator is dirty and has stains. Rooms are worn with wallpaper curling off. Water fountain in hallway is broken. Parking lot has storage container and trash enclosure open. All this does not serve customers who come in hot from a summer drive.

We stayed here coming and going to San Diego. Both times were very pleasant. The front desk people were very nice...Marie was awesome. The rooms were comfortable, and it is a good value...We had our service dog with us and she was always welcomed.

Worst place to stay! No wifi, room was dirty and no soap or towels in room. Had to change rooms due to nothing working. Doors did not work with room key. Bed was made sloppy second day - all the blankets were on one side on the floor. Bathroom door didn’t close.
