Oyado Den Rikyu

I feel that no words can express my wonderful experience, maybe pictures are more suitable. Onjuku is located in a peaceful countryside, and there are not many tourists during this season. The house is very new, with only 7 guest rooms, and there is a private bath in each yard. According to the waiter, they have another old store nearby. This store was originally a restaurant, so the food is simply perfect, a feast for the eyes and taste buds. I can only say that I am very lucky.

一泊朝夕食付きで泊まりましたが、最高のおもてなしとお部屋でした。朝夕食では地元の有名な食材をふんだんに使った美味しいメニューがたくさんで満喫できました。また露天風呂付きのお部屋はとても清潔で、特に露天風呂は夜に星空、朝には由布岳を眺めながら入浴することができ、とてもリラックスできました。何より様々なスタッフの心温まるおもてなしのおかげで快適にステイできたと思います。ありがとうございました。ぜひまた来たいと思える宿でした。

九州での新婚旅行の最後に宿泊させて頂きました。着いてすぐのウェルカムスイーツから帰るまでずっとおもてなしが素晴らしく、博多やハウステンボスで沢山歩いた疲れが取れました。部屋も居心地が良く、温泉は優しい肌触りで何回でも気持ち良く入れました。ご飯の見た目も優しい味も、一緒に頂いたお酒も大満足でした。夕飯時にチラッと新婚旅行で来た話をしただけで、急遽メッセージプレートやシャンパンを準備して頂き、とても感激いたしました。記念写真も沢山撮影して頂き、旅行最終日にとてもいい思い出が出来ました。ありがとうございました。九州旅行来た際はまた訪れたいと思うお宿です。

This was my first time staying here. I am very satisfied. The rooms are unified and stylish in a Japanese modern style, and the baths are smooth and you can use them as many times as you like. And the food is delicious! They are tasteful and plentiful, so you will be full. The timing of the food was perfect. I don't drink alcohol, so I would like them to bring it to me again and again. The breakfast was also good. And best of all, this was a trip to celebrate my discharge from the hospital after surgery, and when I casually wrote it when I made the reservation, I received a dessert with a message saying "Congratulations on your discharge" and my name on it at dinner. I was so touched. Thank you very much ♪ My wife was also happy. On the way back, the manager took a commemorative photo of us. The manager said that if there were too many good reviews, it would be a pressure, but I wonder if it will be a pressure again... Haha. But it was really good. Thank you for the happy time.

Stayed for the first time in fall 2021. I tasted it and made a reservation for my wife's birthday last year, but the two of us contracted the coronavirus at the last minute. When I contacted the manager, he waived the cancellation fee, saying, ``Because of the circumstances,'' the cancellation fee was waived. No matter what, I thought this year was my revenge, and it was my second stay in 2 years. Like last time, we didn't eat dinner at the inn, but had dinner at the attached Italian restaurant "Quelcas" (which was the first one to open). It's about 200m from the inn, but we'll pick you up by car, so you don't have to worry about it even on rainy days or if you have trouble walking. The manager and staff are running back and forth through the rice fields to serve guests and transport tableware. Since it was my wife's birthday, I chose the most expensive course, and I was very satisfied as it was upgraded from the last time. Pairing wine while exchanging opinions with the manager is fun and delicious. ``The bar is rising as the number of repeat customers increases,'' says the manager. "Kelkas" also has a pastry chef and a wide variety of desserts. The welcome sweets served at the inn seem to have been created by the pastry chef here. There is also a dedicated wedding planner, and weddings are often held here. Since this is a competitive area with other delicious Italian restaurants nearby, motivation is high and this inn and restaurant will not disappoint. Ideally, you would stay for two nights, one day eating Japanese food at your inn and the other day eating Italian restaurant "Quercas."

We visited again this year for our wedding anniversary. I had booked a room called Suzu, which was in a separate building right in front of the restaurant. All rooms are well-equipped with a semi-open-air rock bath and an indoor cypress bath, which is a blessing in Yufuin where there is a huge difference in temperature. The room is equipped with an air conditioner, gas fan heater, water server for both hot and cold water, and a fan heater, electric fan, and towel warmer in the bathroom, making it a high-class accommodation. What surprised me was that when I entered the bathroom, I felt a warm breeze. There was also a heater with a motion sensor here!! You can relax comfortably regardless of the season. Not only this, but I always look forward to Japan. This is a kaiseki cooking course. The combination of fresh seafood from Oita Prefecture and the flavor of vegetables grown in our own farm makes each dish exquisite. I don't think you can taste it anywhere else. Also, the manager and all the staff are friendly and really make you feel at ease. We were very satisfied with this trip, as we had wonderful memories such as celebrating our anniversary with a dessert dish and having a firefly viewing party after the meal.
