Slight annoyance that cleaners tidied room after repeatedly requesting not and turning on the Do Not Disturb sign, which resulted in a protective piece for my laptop being thrown out. :("

"I confirmed the room upgrade through Ctrip, but during check-in, I felt they were communicating in the local language and hadn't actually upgraded me. I confirmed with them at least three times, insisting I'd been upgraded—they said I was on the fifth floor but was moved to the seventh. The elevator signs were clearly marked. After confirming I hadn't been upgraded in the room, I went back to the front desk. They stopped arguing and moved me to the ninth floor. Is this really necessary? And they wanted a 200 yuan deposit—I don't know what they were depositing for. A perfectly good hotel was ruined by two people at the front desk. I'll never stay here again."

"The hotel has a great location, with restaurants nearby serving barbecue and specialty beef noodles, and parking available in front. The hotel staff were very welcoming, introducing us to local delicacies and even giving us a handful of fresh plums to try—they were delicious! The breakfast was also good; while the selection wasn't extensive, it was sufficient, and the inclusion of coffee made us, a group of travelers on a road trip, very happy. The bedding was clean and hygienic, and the bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. Excellent value for money, definitely deserving a five-star rating!"
