Beautiful seaview from our ensuite cabin

First time at this park. We had a nice 5 nights because we always make the best of it but was disappointed with the site for our van which was just sand . It was windy at times so everything got covered in sand. There is a beautiful fake grass section for all types of campers and it looked idyllic. The sand sites have shade cloth pads and ours was in terrible condition with holes and trip hazards and need to be replaced . We had our own ground cover to cover it and keep us out of the sand luckily. . The camp kitchen is tiny and needs to be much bigger and the road through the park is full of big potholes. The ablutions were quite nice but very small. The location is lovely . Lots of bbqs . Located near the cabins. Some improvements and upgrades would make this a great park. Would definitely ask for a fake grass spot next time !!!!

I found this a hard park to review. We were in a caravan on a powered site, so I can’t comment on chalets. The tariff very reasonable for the location , which is awesome, staff were friendly and helpful, so why only 3 stars I hear you ask! It would have been less on arrival! After a few days I grew to really like to the place, it has a great holiday vibe. Despite my review I would come back! We were in the lower section, which has access to stunning views, Sites are a bit tricky to get into as the road is so narrow, but not impossible. They are OK size, but not in great shape. Ours was so uneven it was hard to place chairs without feeling like you were going to fall over. Again not impossible but annoying. The drains were blocked at one stage, but staff came along and sorted it as soon as they were asked. The biggest downfall was the shower block, a benchmark for caravan parks, this one is a real let down. It’s old, shower cubicles are far too small, your clothes and shoes always end up soaking wet. But by far the biggest problem is it’s not cleaned either often enough or thoroughly enough. The shower walls were not wiped down in the 8 days we were there, corners never cleaned, it was obvious that they clean with the doors open and never look behind them. Broken window panes, months of cobwebs, peeling paint and damaged roof. The floors were just wiped over with a (well used) mop, they need to be cleaned properly. I know it’s hard to get staff, but they need to be shown how to clean properly. It’s probably the most important job in a park, one they should be proud to do well. With the right improvements this could be one of the best parks around, it needs some serious TLC.

Outstanding location. We have been coming here for years, and love the fact that you can wake up and walk straight over the road and get into amazing surf! Unfortunately the park really needs some maintenance. The roller door seperating our bedroom from the main part of our cabin wouldn’t close properly, and consistently came off its rollers. When I told the staff about it at checkout, she didn’t overly care about it being an issue. The communal toilets have been somewhat done up but are desperately in need of a deep clean and sanitise. The guys toilets reek! Overall, it’s a great location, but just isn’t worth the quite high nightly costs at the moment unfortunately.
