"Out of the 5 days I spent in Sri Lanka, this hotel was by far my favorite and the most satisfying! It's located right next to Yala National Park, sharing the same grounds as the Hilton resort, so you'll spot various animals quite often. We stayed in a jungle chalet, and it was incredibly clean! Both the AC and fan were very quiet. Every staff member was so nice and friendly. We were able to pre-order breakfast boxes for our early morning safari, and on our departure day, since we were leaving too early for lunch (we had booked a full-board package), they even prepared lunch boxes for us to take on the road. The service was absolutely excellent! And the value for money is fantastic!! Highly, highly recommended!"

The rooms itself were well equipped and comfortable and had a lovely view while sitting outside of the Terrace. There is a nice swimming pool and the service from the staff was excellent. The food was great and I would highly recommend this hotel whilst staying in Yala."

"Our stay at O2 Villas was honestly incredible. I couldn’t recommend it more. We stayed for two nights and did the safari one afternoon, which ended up being one of the highlights of the whole trip. Our guide from O2 Villas was amazing and really went above and beyond. We were lucky enough to see a leopard, and he also took us to the red sand beach and dunes to watch the sunset, which was absolutely unforgettable. The villas themselves are stunning - a real touch of luxury in such a peaceful setting. We loved spending time just relaxing at the villa and completely switching off. The staff were all fantastic and made the whole experience feel very special. If you get the chance, definitely book the bonfire restaurant evening. The setting was beautiful and we had the most incredible grilled fish and so much delicious food. An unforgettable stay… 11/10."

They did not serve the local specialty egg hoppers for breakfast (I think it is served for dinner), but I asked for it and the chef said he would make it for me and it was delicious. Great service."

"Bed, room, shower, good ac, breakfast, balcony/terrace. Everything about the room is very good. It is new and in perfect condition. Even better are the hosts and their service. You get a great and daily changing breakfast, nice dinner if you like, and help to plan your activities in Tissa. The place might be a little out of the town, but that is not a bad thing! The town does not offer much. To get around, to town or to the next beach, you can rent a scooter there and directly behind the property is the Yoda lake. It is perfect for walks in the morning, or for sunset. The sun sets over the lake. It's very quiet and you can see a couple or nice animals there. The 2 times we went there, we saw Grey langur monkeys. Also you can see the buffalos around and in the lake, with just their heads looking out and many different kinds of birds. "

"Amazing place. Would highly recommend jungle cabin for 2 nights. We opted to do the hotel safari (although other options are available), and we had a great guide and saw tonnes of elephants (even males chasing each other!), leopards, monkeys, water buffalo, crocodiles, and a whole host of other creatures great and small. Our guide was top: knowledgeable and friendly. Driver great too. Food was great in buffet, and à la carte was fantastic: veggie wrap can’t be missed and this is coming from a complete carnivore. Hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did."

"Really enjoyed our 2 nights here. Not much in the surrounding area, we were only there for the safari. Hotel is secluded down an unmade road overlooking rice paddies. Delightfully private and quiet, only about 8 rooms, great pool area and the food in the restaurant was delicious and well priced. Staff were very happy, friendly and attentive. A great hotel for R&R before and after safari."

"Do not stay here. 1. The hygiene is terrible. I developed a rash on my arm after sleeping in the bed, something I've never experienced in other hotels. There were also a lot of ants. 2. The facilities are terrible. My shower leaked everywhere, and my friend's room had no hot water. The sheets even had holes. 3. There were no toiletries provided. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo—all clearly listed in the hotel details—were missing."

"We spent three nights here, and it was an absolute dream. Every single member of the staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming, and helpful. They contributed enormously to our positive experience. We were looked after with great care, and every wish was fulfilled with genuine attentiveness and kindness. The food was spectacular—truly at an outstanding level. We have not eaten better anywhere else. Chef Danushka is a true master of his craft, and every dish reflected his talent and passion. The hotel also provided us with an excellent guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us so many beautiful places. The evening beach tour is highly recommended—it was by far the most beautiful beach I have seen in Sri Lanka. Nestled in the middle of the jungle, the hotel offers the unique opportunity to observe wildlife directly from your room. One morning, the hotel organized a safari for us in Yala National Park, which was absolutely breathtaking. We saw an incredible number of animals, and the driver did a fantastic job, ensuring we had the best possible experience and could see as much as possible. Since we did not want to take our eight-month-old daughter on the safari, Dinithi from the Operations Team lovingly took care of her. We were so grateful. She did a wonderful job—our daughter adored her and always lit up with a big smile whenever she saw her. This stay was truly unforgettable, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough."

"It has the standard and amenities of a typical star-rated hotel, but it's probably the newest and most modern hotel in Sri Lanka! If you're visiting Yala, you don't necessarily have to choose this hotel. If you're not picky about the age of a hotel, I think there are several other good hotels nearby! The main issue is that staying here for over 10,000 RMB for three days and two nights really doesn't feel worthwhile! Everyone at the hotel is trying their best to provide service, but it's really disappointing. Perhaps due to a small staff and a difference in mindset, the efficiency is just too slow."
