Came with my dad but I wish I had brought all my friends and family so they could all experience this amazing accomodation!! Absolutely fantastic experience here, I could not recommend it more! This place is incredibly foreigner friendly with quite a few staff who can speak English and the amenities are beyond outstanding. Even for foreigners who know a fair bit of Chinese like me, it was so easy to talk to all the staff and I felt so at ease. Every picture I took made me think I was nestled in the forests of Japan. From the rooftop gardens, to the tea rooms, to the front communal space, and personal rooms, everything is curated to perfection and tech filled to the max! Expect vintage stereos, vinyl players and projectors at every communal area! All the staff are so friendly and create the welcoming community energy that tremendously enriches your experience in Xi’an. There is also a pub opposite the road for complimentary happy hours, communal hot pots and dumpling making on different nights! I cannot wait to recommend this hotel to everyone I know, and I am beyond excited to bring my family and friends back here!

Staff were friendly, and allowed us to check in earlier when we arrived and acceded to our request for our 2 rooms to be beside each other. We booked the smallest room for single guests, and room size was just nice for one person. It may be a bit small for couples or families. The staff were also ready to help change a room when the bidet in the first room wasn’t working. Cleanliness can be improved as we found food crumbs on the table. Other than that, location was ok and within walking distance from Exit D of Zhonglou station on Line 2. Also walking distance to Huimin Street. Breakfast was good and they also provided free drinks, coffee and alcohol at certain timings of the day. They are also generous with water and provide Evian water in the rooms. Will definitely come back to stay if we come back to Xi’an.

Han Tang Inn in Xi’an was truly a gem. The location is perfect—tucked away on a quiet street but still walking distance to the Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, blending traditional decor with modern comfort. I loved the rooftop common area—it’s the perfect place to relax with tea after a long day. The hostel also offers free activities and a great breakfast. Highly recommend for solo travelers, couples, or anyone looking for a welcoming and authentic stay in Xi’an!

The whole vibes there is just so calming and relaxing. Xi’an was very hot & busy when i arrived so it was relieving when we arrived to hantang inn haha, workers is very friendly and nice too!

Well set up, great reception with breakfast buffet. Other times there was free coffee and even free cocktail at the pub across the street. Concierge highly helpful with my food delivery, instructions on where to go etc. One of the better rooms in this part of the world. Sink was positioned out of the bathroom but not in an awkward way. Sufficient space for luggage even though the bed took up most of the room. Found tea space and Chinese calligraphy writing spot on the rooftop.

The hotel looks lovely with a super nice vibe. It is located at the very center of Xi'An and includes nice snacks, coffees and beverages for free. Hosts were also nice with us!

overall it's a veeery beautiful place and the hotel design is also wonderful, everything has been thought out (additional options included in the price for guests are very nice) but the room cleaning service shouldn't look like this. I was only there for two nights so it wasn't a big problem, but after returning after a whole day of sightseeing I would like at least the bed to be made properly (and not left in the same condition as I did) the same with the rubbish... There was a dirty stain on the entrance to the room/bathroom from the very beginning and we left it hoping that the next day the service would do its job, but it seems to me that the floor is not cleaned at all (which seems strange when it is required to take off shoes... all socks are black). Breakfast for vegetarians is very poor and even an egg is placed between meat... :( + in other hotels the employees helped us with picking up the ordered food without any problems (it's hard to eat something without meat in China), but here it seems to me that it caused a problem (strange because it seems that the Chinese themselves order something all the time) and there was no menu from the "restaurant" of this hotel as it is written in trip.com or it was not offered to me so in short I recommend it but the cleanliness should be improved and there should be some place to leave orders

Service is good. Rooms are very well decorated. Super love the design. Location is convenient , walking distance to metro. just that it’s in a small alley that didi rejects to come in to pick up. Returning is no problem. Good breakfast, coffee, drinks and wine/cocktail that are all inclusive.

Fantastic for the price. Very nice aesthetic and kind staff. I was given free tea at the end of my stay.

Fantastic. I prefer the homely unpretentious atmosphere here to most of the 5 star hotels. Friendly, clean, comfy beds, quiet, nice separate smoking area, Breakfast doesn't include the posh coffee, but still 5 star for me

Zen hotel offering a tranquille stay. Very friendly and helpful staff and there is also someone speaking English. Japanese style interior. Great breakfast. Since we travel with a wheelchair, there are some concerns. You cannot access the building without getting out of the wheelchair. There are annoying bumps on the groundfloor making movement without help impossible. Key is that there is no western toilet downstairs. You always have to go back to your room. We suggest adding a little fridge to the room to keep your own stuff cool

Great location, right in the centre and close to 钟楼 and subway line 2. The hotel staff were super friendly and for any non-Chinese speaking travellers, most staff seemed to be able to converse in English. The complimentary drinks were a great little addition and made our stay even more enjoyable! Breakfast was a bit basic but acceptable considering the price. Would recommend

Han Tang Inn is located in a great location, walking distance from both the Bell and Drum Tower and the South Gate of the city walls. The facilities at Han Tang Inn were fantastic and they were generous with the complimentary food, soft drink and water. The rooms were a little bit on the small size but they were very clean and modern. I would stay here again.

I had an excellent stay at Han Tang Inn! The amenities were fantastic, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and everything was spotless — super clean throughout. The breakfast was also delicious with a good variety. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
