"The venue was clean, tidy, staff very friendly. Bed is sooo comfy. Food was good. They just need some seats outside"
El Lago Waters Hotel
"Hotel is walking distance to the beach, plaza, children park. But it’s very old and needs urgent renovation. The room was spacious, clean and beds were fine. The bathroom was clean but have very old fittings. Shower taps were very hard to turn on, knobs were falling off in doing so and took us a while to operate and when we managed to turn that in, it started making very loud noise. Bath tub is small. Some of the ceiling cornice were falling off from the bathroom. There wasn’t any microwave in the room, bar refrigerator is an old model frost ones, the hairdryer was an ancient one, making loud noise and the other side of the hairdryer was broken. It was a bit unsafe to use. No tissue box, bin was available either."
The Beachcomber Hotel & Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection
"great stay"
Ocean Front Motel
"I booked a double room on the top floor. The view was great. The room was slightly small, well-equipped and relatively new. It looked like it had been renovated not long ago, but the door had not been replaced, so it was a bit too old. There is a very clingy cat downstairs😀"
Ibis Styles the Entrance
"Nice clean hotel"
The Lakes Hotel
"Easy check in, toilets very clean, they said music might be loud but I couldn’t hear it,"
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort
"Amazing view, quiet place, friendly staff and easy access to the beach. It was perfect for getaway."

The Entrance Backpackers
"Really homey vibe with great staff which accommodate your every need. Washing services free and pool table/ common room is a good size. Plenty of room to store your food and oven, microwave, toaster and stove to cook with. The rooms are spacious with big lockers and the no food or drink in the dorms is a good rule. Safe and secure so would definitely recommend to anyone passing as the prices are extremely reasonable especially if you’re coming as a duo or bigger group."
Shelly Beach Holiday Park
"Great location, lovely individual cabins with the comforts of home, fantastic for a family holiday without costing an arm or a leg. Lots of amenities on site for easy access. Water park & pool on site for the kids ( & adults) to have fun & the beach is right across the road. Only a short drive from Bateau Bay & The Entrance if you want to sightsee."
Nesuto the Entrance
"Good location, suits family holiday The room has some strange smell, though"
Hibiscus Lakeside Motel
"Cute out of the way hotel. Our room had lovely view of the river and parkland. Beds were clean and comfortable. Parking was convenient at right outside our room. Kitchenette was very small but was well Stocked. A bit hard to manage with kettle and toaster at breakfast- could only accomodate one at a time, but everything was clean. Had to use bathroom sink to clean cups and plates as there is no sink. Bathroom is clean, sink only slightly stained from doing double duty as kitchen sink. Staff were helpful and friendly, checkin was very easy."
Budgewoi Holiday Park
"We booked ensuite site due to likelihood of rain. And rain it did. The downside of the park's lakeside location is it gets swampy underfoot and a bit odiferous. Ensuite was clean enough. Steps quite steep. The park is well situated walking distance to cafes and beach. Quiet (Sat Sun, Mon early December), shady, dog friendly, pretty good value."
Norah Head Holiday Park
"My wife and I have been on the road caravanning for over 10 years, and this would be the worst managed and poorly maintained park we’ve ever stayed in. We were evacuated from another caravan park due flooding. Rang and booked ahead staying for a week and asked to be close to the amenities, they placed us 400 meters away. Upon my complaint about the location, was advised by management to pick a site that’s suitable. However, after setting up at our chosen site I was informed that we can’t stay there for the week as it was booked for the weekend. We refused to move. (We were told by management to choose a site, so we did and we were comfortable). They relented and moved the double booking. When we wanted to extend our stay, we were then informed that the site was booked the following Friday and we were again asked to move (third time). So, we left. Despite that fact that the site directly behind was free it was insisted that we had to pull down our setup and move, these people were here for two days, and we had offered to stay for six weeks. Just about every park that we’ve been to if a site has been extended, and space wasn’t an issue future booking are moved to a site close by. Zero maintenance - the showers all had broken door locks as did the toilets and graffiti on the walls. Park was not well maintained, there were weeds that had reached maturity so had been there for quite a while. A lot of equipment was also “out of order”, like dryers and washing machines, their maintenance vehicle has only one working headlight. The Park advertised free WiFi, there was such thing as it did not extend beyond the near office surrounds. The management were extremely rude, condescending and espoused all their issues and as a customer I was not interested in their issues. All I wanted was some simple customer service that was absolutely non-existent. Common sense isn’t that common with these people. A very sad state. The council should be looking into this! We simply drove out the gate next morning."
Central Jetty Motel
"Very cheap so nothing great was expe ted.but was ok for what we had to do"
Jetty Motel the Entrance
"Conveniently located close to everything. Nice Indian restaurant next to it. I stayed in the upgraded room which was big with a comfortable queen bed."
Pullman Magenta Shores Resort
"GOOD CHOICE FOR GOLF FRIENDS"
Sapphire Palms Motel
"As soon as me and my family arrived I noticed cockroaches coming from the fridge and on counter top . When my kids wanted to swim in the spa it was FREEZING !! I had to pay an extra $30 for them to turn the temperature up ! The next day I boiled the kettle to make noodles and when pouring water into them there was a cockroach that had come out with the water . They could hardly speak any English and when leaving they tried to keep room key deposit and when I tried explaining she went back into room checking the sheets and the room to see if we left any mess , like it's a room key deposit not dirty room deposit. Will NEVER BE STAYUNG HERE AGAIN !! ID RATHER PAY MORE FOR LESS"
Lavender House Bed & Breakfast
"We comforted ourselves by deciding that this was probably the closest we'll ever get to staying at Faulty Towers. Lavender House is run by an elderly couple in their own large home, with Linda playing a kindly version of 'Sybil' and John playing the grumpy & nosey 'Basil'. Basil generally spent his energy criticising Sybil (and women generally) rather than trying to make us feel welcome. The apartment was clean and tidy with comfortable bed but poorly equipped kitchen (with a sign reminding us to clean up after ourselves). The sliding doors to the verandah and (interrupted ocean views) were were salt-sprayed and murky. The main disappointment was that the outdoor spa was not part of the Honeymoon suite but located on another deck accessible to all guests and only available between 5-9pm or by special arrangement. When we asked to use it Basil grumbled that it wasn't warm, it needed to be turned on with 12 hours' notice and we hadn't warned him in advance. We had to take the top off ourselves and we tried it out after a few hours heating. It was tepid but fine on a hot day and might have been better later that evening, but he announced we weren't allowed to use it more than once a day. The next day it was still barely luke-warm. In my brother's room there was a noisy old fridge (my brother turned it off the second night to get a better sleep) and strong cooking smells in the morning. Our cooked breakfast was cold when served the first morning but much warmer and nicer the second morning. The locks on the doors and arrangement of air conditioning were gerry built and difficult to use. There is a large building site next door but luckily it wasnt noisy the days we were there. Disconcertingly Basil seemed to spend a lot of his time keeping an eye on us. He complained of never getting a holiday although it was Sybil who seemed to do most of the work. We tried to be pleasant guests but we felt fairly affronted overall. I think we paid about double what the the accommodation was worth."
