Encore by Mingara ★★★★
"The staff were so friendly from the minute we arrived. So accomodating as we wanted to check in early due to the Tuggerah 9s tournament that we were attending for our son. The rooms were so peculiar and I loved it my son and my partner loved it as well, so clean and the amenities was amazing especially for my son’s recovery after the games. The location was perfect surrounded by beautiful scenery’s that takes your breath away, their are restaurants right next door however drive to other dining areas is not to far. Highly recommend, will definitely be back again :)"
El Lago Waters Hotel ★★★
"Stayed 1 night. Located in a great location but the hotel is a bit run down"
The Beachcomber Hotel & Resort ★★★★
"Good restaurant"
Ocean Front Motel ★★★★
"Lovely staff and amazing location near to the lake. Unfortunately there’s no elevator and if you have a big luggage is not easy."
Ibis Styles the Entrance ★★★★
"The hotel has a great location; it's very close to the lake entrance for shrimp fishing. The only downside was the continuous, extremely loud alarm ringing late at night, waking up the entire building."
The Lakes Hotel ★★
"Very basic but what we needed, loud music on weekends but they supply earplugs"
Blue Lagoon Beach Resort ★★★
"lovely ocean breeze and have a great timewith friends and families and lovely wild lives around, but the studio suite can be a bit larger or well designed you have two toilets"
Mercure Kooindah Waters Central Coast ★★★★
"We booked a 3 bedroom apartment and we liked the spacious environment and with excellent swimming pools and sauna room. They provided buffet breakfast with fresh juice you can make at your choice. We had an issue of leftover a personal stuff at the apartment and the customer service deck helped to mail back to us without hesitation. This was a very pleasant experience and will book again definitely."
Grand Hotel and Studios ★★★★
"Very nice and warm"

The Entrance Backpackers
"Really homey vibe with great staff which accommodate your every need. Washing services free and pool table/ common room is a good size. Plenty of room to store your food and oven, microwave, toaster and stove to cook with. The rooms are spacious with big lockers and the no food or drink in the dorms is a good rule. Safe and secure so would definitely recommend to anyone passing as the prices are extremely reasonable especially if you’re coming as a duo or bigger group."
Perfect Retreat Absolute waterfront, Stunning View and Direct Access to water.
Jetty Motel the Entrance
"Conveniently located close to everything. Nice Indian restaurant next to it. I stayed in the upgraded room which was big with a comfortable queen bed."
Hibiscus Lakeside Motel
"We found 2 long foot spider one in the bed and another one toilet"
Pullman Magenta Shores Resort
"The hotel's walking path and tennis court were nice. However, the rooms are too old and need renovation. Cleanliness was also disappointing; I found bugs a few times, and the bedding was very worn out. Remodeling seems urgently needed."
Norah Head Holiday Park
"Very pleasant stay. The house we stayed was well equipped. We stayed at a colder time but surely the place would be super busy in the summer months. There are shops and attractions a short drive away. Our kids loved the stay."
Sapphire Palms Motel
"There were solar panels installed right behind the cabin and building works for more cabins going on just passed them, however, this was not difficult to accept and the bush scene beyond these was lovely. The walks nearby are excellent and shops and facilities were close at hand. The pool looked amazing but was too cold for me on my trip. The staff were very accommodating and the cabin itself was very comfortable."
Central Jetty Motel
"OK, location, , clean, and the pool was great."
Nrma Canton Beach Holiday Park
"This park was just gorgeous, located on the banks of Tuggerah Lake and surrounded by lush gardens. Only a short walk from our en-suite campsite we found ourselves surrounded by rainforest. The park and ammenities were very clean and our en-suite came complete with complimentary toiletries. With this as our home base, we visited the Norah Head lighthouse and headed through The Entrance to visit Bouddi National Park and the Australian Reptile Zoo (about a 50 min drive) both are worth a visit. We highly recommended a visit and hope to visit again someday. It was very quiet during our off peak winter stay but I suspect it would get quite busy in summer!"
Buccaneer Motel
"Extremely helpful given we booked last minute. Great that we could bring our dog to stay. Close to cafes, short drive to North Shelly dog beach."
Budgewoi Holiday Park
"We booked ensuite site due to likelihood of rain. And rain it did. The downside of the park's lakeside location is it gets swampy underfoot and a bit odiferous. Ensuite was clean enough. Steps quite steep. The park is well situated walking distance to cafes and beach. Quiet (Sat Sun, Mon early December), shady, dog friendly, pretty good value."
Nesuto the Entrance
"The location is good and the kitchen is easy to use. I would like to use it again."
Shelly Beach Holiday Park
"Great Spot! Perfect location for a coastal getaway with children. Family of 6 - Great water park for the kids. Short stroll to the cafe right on Shelly beach. Spacious tidy cabins - The kids loved their own retreat up stairs. Plenty of room for my husband, baby and I down stairs in the main bedroom. Late checkout made it even better. Definitely would recommend. The Bewleys xx"
Lavender House Bed & Breakfast
"We comforted ourselves by deciding that this was probably the closest we'll ever get to staying at Faulty Towers. Lavender House is run by an elderly couple in their own large home, with Linda playing a kindly version of 'Sybil' and John playing the grumpy & nosey 'Basil'. Basil generally spent his energy criticising Sybil (and women generally) rather than trying to make us feel welcome. The apartment was clean and tidy with comfortable bed but poorly equipped kitchen (with a sign reminding us to clean up after ourselves). The sliding doors to the verandah and (interrupted ocean views) were were salt-sprayed and murky. The main disappointment was that the outdoor spa was not part of the Honeymoon suite but located on another deck accessible to all guests and only available between 5-9pm or by special arrangement. When we asked to use it Basil grumbled that it wasn't warm, it needed to be turned on with 12 hours' notice and we hadn't warned him in advance. We had to take the top off ourselves and we tried it out after a few hours heating. It was tepid but fine on a hot day and might have been better later that evening, but he announced we weren't allowed to use it more than once a day. The next day it was still barely luke-warm. In my brother's room there was a noisy old fridge (my brother turned it off the second night to get a better sleep) and strong cooking smells in the morning. Our cooked breakfast was cold when served the first morning but much warmer and nicer the second morning. The locks on the doors and arrangement of air conditioning were gerry built and difficult to use. There is a large building site next door but luckily it wasnt noisy the days we were there. Disconcertingly Basil seemed to spend a lot of his time keeping an eye on us. He complained of never getting a holiday although it was Sybil who seemed to do most of the work. We tried to be pleasant guests but we felt fairly affronted overall. I think we paid about double what the the accommodation was worth."
