Super 8 by Wyndham Grand Rapids/Wyoming

My son and I were in the Grand Rapids area for a basketball tournament. We got to the hotel around 7:30pm to check in. I waiting in the lobby for approximately 15 minutes before anyone was able to assist me. The interior of the hotel smelled like old cigarette smoke, the hallways were dirty, including the carpet flooring. When in our room (319), the bed linens were covered with cigarette burned holes and had some type of "stuff" on them that we could not tell what it was. After contemplating what to do, we decided to make the best of it because we were leaving early the next morning. We turned the heat up a bit and slept on top of the cleanest sheet on the bed, in our clothes, without covers. The two sconces on either side of the bed did not have any lamp shades, the lights did not work, nor did the electrical outlet on each of them. The easy chair in the corner had stains all over it and the arm rests were so tattered and dirty we did not want to sit in it. The carpet flooring was so dirty that when my son walked from the bed to the bathroom, and back, his white socks were completely black on the bottom. The bathroom door was bent so much, that the upper hinge on the interior of the bathroom was correct, but the lower hinge was totally missing as the frame looked like it had been bent in, so the door did not open or close properly. The whole hotel looked run down and not cared for at all........ This was very unfortunate and not expected. We travel often for tournaments and have been using Super 8 for a majority of them. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had. Thank you, Scott

I paid to include two breakfast and once there I was told they didn't provide breakfast yet was still charged for it through my trip app. Very dissapointing.

This hotel was not at all as pictured in the photo. The people were very sketchy and the place was filthy. The front desk person sits behind a barrier and you have to slide your idea through a hole, if that gives you a sense. We were given our keys for two rooms, both of which had not been cleaned. One of the rooms had old bedding piled on the beds. We left and found a different hotel even though it cost us more. My husband was concerned his truck would be vandalized if we stayed there. If I could give zero starts I would.

TERRIBLE the room was never cleaned properly. They put car air fresheners in the heating/cooling unit. The entry door was damaged, the bathroom door was damaged and didn't close properly. The clerk went missing for so long that other customers called the police thinking something bad happened to him. The clerk was very unfriendly. I would have been better sleeping in my car. I seriously recommend anyone to avoid this place at all costs. There wasn't even a complimentary breakfast like it said in the description. Just some terrible coffee.

Never staying here again The first room we were put in wasn’t clean/beds weren’t made. The second room had a door that wouldn’t lock. The third and final room we were put in smelled bad, had a whole wall of outlets that didn’t work, had 1 working light and the bathroom was so gross, I wore flip flops to shower. If we had somewhere else to stay, we would have.

This property is not kept. The halls and rooms smell like smoke. The room we had was atrocious. Every linen on the bed was dirty, stained, or burnt through. The walls were so dirty. I called the front desk to let them know about the bedding, so they sent “housekeeping” up…she came in out of breath, handed me new sheets, came in and SAT on one of the beds and tried to make conversation with my friend, seemed to be hitting on her. I can’t even imagine what the mattresses would have looked like had I stayed and changed the sheets. The whole experience there grossed us out, so within 10 minutes of being there we asked for a refund. The kid at the desk kind of laughed about it and handed me a receipt.
