Worplesdon Place Hotel

Wow the photos on the website did not do this place justice. Beautiful building, wonderful atmosphere, great staff-big shout out to the lovely Eve who welcomed us for check in and then throughout the evening. An excellent menu with Very good food! Super cosy place to eat and chill. We had our desserts in the room …what a treat! We had a double boutique suite which was really nicely decorated and had a lovely bathroom with huge shower and a bath. The grounds are beautiful and we sat by the lake before dinner enjoying a drink watching the ducks and the black swans swimming around. Would highly recommend this place for both a stay over and for dinner. We will definitely be back!

First of all, a massive thank you to Imogen and all the Worplesdon Place team for their efforts on the day. It went off almost entirely without a hitch, and we are extremely grateful for everything. Imogen was timely with her responses to our queries and with planning the day. On the day itself, Imogen worked hard behind the scenes to make sure everything went according to schedule, including being on a sort of "guard duty" outside the venue door, to stop other pub goers from inadvertently disrupting the event. The chef team were fabulous, and we were super pleased that they were able to accommodate our food requests for the evening bites. All the food they cooked was exceptional. The staff who were serving, were dressed smart and were incredibly hospitable, serving with a smile and ensuring that everybody's glasses were topped up. The bedrooms were comfortable and well decorated. However, it did take rather a long time for hot water to come through the shower/bath taps, and also, the inside of the shower head was quite clogged with scale, as the flow had been reduced to almost a trickle. Our only criticism of the whole day, is the unfortunate change of the children's menu on the day of the wedding, without letting us know in advance so that we could forewarn the children/parents. Other than that, we couldn't be happier with how our day turned out. We will remember it forever, and always be grateful to Imogen and all the Worplesdon Place staff. Thanks again!

Had a nice sit down with a couple of drinks and a few bits off of the menu. Kate was very helpful with advice on drinks and food which helped me make mt decision in what I ate as well as giving great service.
