Stayed here last night after a day at Newmarket Races. A really beautiful building with extremely comfortable and very stylish bedrooms. Excellent food with a great wine list, and an exceptional breakfast. Staff were really friendly and efficient. A gem of a place. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

The service was slow, and the staff seemed uninterested or looked like they were going to cry. The meal took ages to arrive. When it did, the Fish was raw, so it was sent back. It took ages to come a second time. When it did, the portion was half the size of the original. When I asked, I was told they had halved it so it could get cooked. never again.

Had a nights stay at The Three blackbirds. Such a lovely bedroom and facilities. Beautifully decorated room, very clean and nice touches with a coffee machine. Bathroom very modern and roomy with a walk in shower and lovely fluffy soft towels. Breakfast was included within the room price. The breakfast room of the pub is clean and well presented and simple choice of breakfast, but great portion size and very tasty!! our stay was 10 out of 10.

A lovely find…
I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely my room was. Obviously a lot of thought had gone into the decor.
I had a good nights sleep. The area was very quiet. The menu in the pub was good and varied. I had the most perfect lamb chop! I hope I might have a reason to return!

Despite contacting the management, I have had no response. Disappointing food experience will stop me from returning. Room, bar and staff excellent. No choice for vegetarians for evening meal. Only a below standard shallot tart. They had a run out of plaice. So I had the fish and chips. Batter soggy and chips not crisp. This not the first time that I have been disappointed with the food. So there has been no improvement. Shame because we love the location.

Good location for a visit to Newmarket.We cycled from the pub around the horse racing infrastructure. An excellent way to take it all in.Good car parking accessible to the room and pub. Food was excellent served in an atmospheric well decorated old pub
