The Station Guest House

I was pleasantly surprised on arrival at the Station Guest house and found it a home away from home. I was very well looked after, timing of breakfast was my choice and breakfast was delicious and plentiful, well appointed room, range of bedding available, lovely staff. The trains weren't as loud as would be expected, and my room was closest to the platforms! The hotel is well-themed in relation to the area, both the railway and the marina. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Our top floor room, with its splendid view of the harbor, contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the two nights we spent at The Station Guest House. We also appreciated the friendliness of Carla and her staff, as well as the hotel's proximity to the train station. We very much look forward to staying at the Guest House again in the future.

Nice room, rather overlooked, great breakfast A great location - right by the train tracks, but no trains overnight disturbed us. Old building and the most made of the room which was spotless and well appointed. Tiny bathroom had good sized shower but small sink. Steep and narrow stairs up to the room might be a challenge if you have a big suitcase or mobility issues. We had the family room (double and single) - the main issue we had was it was so overlooked - people walking over the bridge to the train looked right into the window, and for the other window people on one platform could see in. Carla was brilliant organising everything, and provided an exceptional breakfast in the Whistlestop Cafe. Lovely but rather expensive for the full experience. That may be because Woodbridge is expensive mind you.

We stayed for two nights, having read excellent reviews. Suffice to say we were not disappointed. Great location and easy parking (though I had to get Carla to help me download the Ring-Go app on my phone). The breakfasts were as good as others have said, we even had to ask her to leave some things off!! At night any train noise was minimal, we slept very well. Great view across the river from our room and an easy walk to pubs/restaurants in town. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights. Had a very comfortable room over looking the railway and the river Deben, room 1. Carla was a fantastic host and could not do enough for you. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Full English breakfast was very tasty. I managed to fall over in town and broke my wrist, Carla was so helpful and provided a lively conversation and I could not praise her high enough. Made my trip an exceptional visit.
