Windrifter is a resort south of Wolfeboro, quiet, at least the weekend we were there. It appears to be a timeshare rental that has seen better days. Our room had a distinctly fishy odor near the front door. The room was described as a “studio, small villa“ it contained a small kitchen table and small sink, stove and refrigerator. There was coffee available at registration in the morning. Plenty of parking, set back from the highway, so it was quiet.

Booked for two nights extended to three as it was so good. There are two options at this resort, the one slightly out of the centre by the golf course or the yacht club accommodation that I highly recommend. Really good apartments on the lake with a balcony in the town centre. You can walk to everything including a supermarket. The apartments have everything you need to cook in. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Great place to stay, highly recommend it.

We stayed here in the big room above the office. It came with a nice kitchen and sofas. The bed was comfortable and we checked out the pool which was indoor and large in size. Would stay here again.

This is the third time we have stayed at this resort and have enjoyed every visit. Neither my wife nor I are smokers, but we couldn't help but notice the smokers are relegated to an area that is uncovered that is near a trash can that was overflowing when we left (wasn't emptied all week). I understand not allowing smoking in the rooms, but you should at give the smokers a covered area that is kept clean. We stayed at the Big Villa and when we arrived there was a luggage cart available which was great, the only trouble was after you made it over the first bridge there was a large concrete curb to try and get over. If you managed to accomplish that then you either wrestled trying to get the cart in the door or unloaded at the door. It seems that ramps would be an easy fix. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Windrifter

Very noisey , hardly slept. This was all above us.
We complained eatrly in the evening around 5. Desk girl said she would be there till ten. Noise started again at ten thirty. Sounded like a herd of elephant above us. Lasted through 6 am
No sleep not happy.

Not a very good place to work. There are two managers that work there and all they do is make you feel VERY STUPID. Some of the people that work in the office do the same thing and talk way to much and very lonely. So I really think it would be a much better place to work if they would get rid of the two managers. They need much better managers more of a people person and either one of them are wish I knew who to contact to get them out of their job. So what I’m trying to say need better management there and maybe people would stay

I loved the different building and that they all had balconies.
We were there for a wedding in town and our family had different units. Understand the indoor pool, but I prefer the outdoors when swimming. Kids loved the pool though. Too nice to be indoors when we were there.

This resort has the potential to be much better if maintained well as far as cleanliness and renovations. The ambiance of the resort could still be that of an old hotel without it seeming as if it has been neglected. Definetely needs some freshening up.

The Staff was very friendly, the building and grounds were dated but in good condition. On papaer it looked the docks were on or near the main buildings but they were 1.5 miles away.
the smoking area was between our room and the parking lot. So it seemed there was always someone sitting or standing there smoking when we walked back and forth from the car, which was uncomfortable
