The Swan Inn

Excellent stay at this country inn. Lovely spacious room set in outside, very comfortable & lots of great extras. Good food, great with my friends Gluten allergy but what sets this apart is the STAFF . Never have I stayed anywhere with staff who all without exception had such a positive can do attitude. They elevated a good stay to an excellent stay. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We booked for a Sunday night prior to an early flight from Bristol. On arrival we were treated like VIPs with the manager taking our luggage and inviting us to sit outside in the sun with a complimentary drink despite the pub very busy. We have stayed at considerably more expensive hotels and not been treated as well. The pub was buzzing with walkers, locals and even horse riders many enjoying a Sunday roast. Our deal which is available every Sunday was a double room with breakfast for £119 but this also included £50 credit towards dinner, bargain. The manager also explained that if we joined the Butcome loyalty scheme we could get an additional 20% off future bookings. We had an excellent roast and a couple of drinks. They serve breakfast from 7.30 but we had to leave at 5.45 so they offered to make us sausage or bacon rolls and also croissants/pain eu chocolate which even came with little jars of jam. We enjoyed all of this at the airport and on the plane. We will definitely be back even if our flights not as early, you start your holiday a day earlier and don’t have to worry about traffic issues as you’re only 6 miles away.

Facilities good, staff welcoming, caring and professional. Had dinner and breakfast. Both were appetising and well presented at a comfortable pace.
