The pub downstairs is excellent. I would come again. The food was good and the variety of beers was also good. The hostel itself lived up to the worst of the reviews. It is dirty and unloved. The floor covering (What's left of it) is breaking up and filthy. It's only the dirt holding it together. The bathroom is grim. I am sure the staff do their best to maintain cleanliness in the bathroom, but you can't polish a turd. (Unintended joke). The duvet covering is worn out and also grim. Again not the fault of the staff, but the owners need a little more investment in the basics. What you get for what you pay just isn't worth it. Spend a bit more. I wish I had.

Upon arrival I’ll admit I was a little skeptical, however it’s been such a nice stay! This is the cheapest hostel in Melbourne and I was expecting the worst, however it’s sad saying goodbye! The location is good, 20 mins walk away from the beachy, more communal areas one way and 20 mins tram from the major city the other. The rooms aren’t anything fancy at all, but not the worst, hang a towel up for some privacy in shared rooms and people are all very respectful and friendly. Nice pub downstairs and a 7/11 right across the road. Only thing is there’s not really a proper common room to meet the other backpackers- a very small kitchen, seating area and lounge room with 2 sofas. But we’ve managed to make friends! Don’t expect the nicest facilities in the world but they’re not the worst at all! Plenty of showers and toilets, laundry and free cereal and toast in the morning. Happy backpacker here 😀

Was bullied and harassed by other occupants. Has people threatening me and shouting down my throat, which included death threats from a certain occupant. Was called names and treated like trash. Rude staff who are selfish. Had to call 000 on two ocassions. One night there was domestic violence concerning other occupants. On another night an occupant overdosed on ***** and locked himself in his room and was throwing objects. Was reported to staff who refused to call 000 and refused to take action. Both police and ambulance had to attend. If you aren't from overseas then people will treat you like trash and won't want you there. The worst experience I have ever had in any accommodation. Stayed in another hostel and didn't have problems with staff or occupants.

Extremely dirty. No daily cleaning or perhaps even Monthly 🤢 The kitchen smelled bad and was dirty. No acces to cleaning supplies like a wipe or dish brush in the kitchen. Not even paper. I wanted to cook but felt like I couldn’t cause I’d get sick from all the dirt.

Par où commencer.. nous sommes rester qu’une nuit ici (fort heureusement) mais on a pu en voir des choses.. les douches.. tout simplement degueulasses, des cheveux partout, le sol n’en parlons pas… l’isolation, quelle catastrophe.. on pouvait savoir ce que disaient les gens qui passaient dans la rue.. puis la chambre.. je pense qu’au jour d’aujourd’hui meme les chambres de prison sont plus propres et plus agréables. Le prix pour tout cela est une honte.. fuyez absolument c’est pas difficile de trouver mieux, justement, je vous mets au défit de trouver pire. Ps : point positif ( il en faut bien un) la fille qui nous a accueilli était très agréable.

Me alojé 2 semanas en el hostal, todo iba bien hasta que comencé con una picazón en todo el cuerpo. Me empezaron a salir pequeñas ronchas, hasta que se volvió insoportable, fui al médico y me dice que eran bed bugs.. un chinche que se aloja en los colchones y se alimenta de sangre.. realmente fue una experiencia horrible, creo que deberían hacer limpieza de colchones periódicamente, porque al parecer nunca los han limpiado.. Por otro lado, la cocina muy poco equipada, refrigeradores sucios y muy difícil encontrar un espacio. Si rescato la amabilidad de los trabajadores..
