We had a great time at the Wylder - the facilities are nicely renovated and the location is very beautiful. Pool was fantastic and a hit with our 3-year old. We enjoyed our meals at Babblers as well even though it is quite expensive. We stayed in a "Manor King Room" which was a nice size for a family of 3. There was a fire alarm (false alarm) which woke us all up at midnight and the hotel graciously gave us a F&B credit. We definitely hope to return.

This venue is stunning our friends had a wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was so helpful and the amenities were great. We would absolutely go back.

Cute place, smaller property, feels like you're stepping back in time when you check in and relax. Beds are cozy, if you have a balcony with chairs the views are great and it feels relaxing. But why is there no functional furniture in the room? When you have to place the klenex box on top of the safe in the closet, that's a sign to add some counter space. We ended up using the ironing board as a place to put our jewelry and anything we brought in the room with us, since one nighstand was occupied by an ice bucket and glasses and the other with a tablet. My husband kept his C-pap in the bed, since there was no where else to put it. Maybe a murphy fold down table or something in the wide open space would make it more functional, or something in the bathroom. trying to use a curling iron/straightener when the outlet is the opposite side of the room and no where to put it, and your make up to get ready. Bathroom is huge, products are nice, but no where to hang your towel near the shower, which could use a curved shower curtain rod so it felt a bit bigger and less claustrophobic.

The hotel is situated in a convenient area close to Main Street (3 min drive or 20 min walk) where you'll find restaurants and shopping. It's also located near a lot of great hiking. The Windham Path is right by the hotel and would highly recommend it for all ages and all fitness levels. It's a 1.5 mile scenic hike that we enjoyed during our visit.
The restaurant selection at the property is limited with Babblers being the only restaurant and it gets very busy with a long wait time for food.
The room was very clean and bed was comfy, but we were on the first level right by the river where the fire pits were which doesn't have much privacy and we didn't like that as we had to keep the curtains to the balcony closed at all times. Other than that, the staff was all very friendly, accommodating, and the property has a lot of activities and is situated in a beautiful area within a few minutes drive to the downtown area.

Stayed here for Memorial Day Weekend. It was a beautiful getaway. The fireworks were amazing and so was the sauna.

All was nice, very nice staff esp the bartender Chris! We could not get the TV’s to work in either room with the required logins, and the water took a really long time to get warm for the showers. Otherwise, really all fine and bucolic.
