The hotel was located pretty close to everything which was nice. When we went in the room it smelt odd and the AC was not working.

可能當地本來就比較潮濕,進門就是一股潮濕的氣味,地板也是黏糊糊的。當時水龍頭下水開關都壞了。除了前台部分員工poker face以為,其餘都還算熱情。地理位置可以,在老城,去哪裡都較方便,洗澡比較舒服。

I review properties we go to as a handicapped/mobility impaired traveler to help others. We reserved a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower. This shower had a wall mounted foldable seat in the shower. But the soap, shower gel, shampoo were mounted on the opposite side of shower, 5' away. The controls were within reach. The bed was way too high. My wife had to assist me into the bed each time. I spoke to the hotel manager on duty at the time and he indicated that this is typical of what Hilton is going to in all of their hotels. I think they need to consult with those who use and need these types of rooms and design them in accordance with their needs. They have a beautiful large pool, but it was disappointing that they did not have a chair lift for handicapped people to use. I sat on a chair while my wife and friends frolicked in the pool on a very hot day. It was not comfortable. The hotel sits on the riverfront with a boardwalk directly behind the hotel. Lots of nearby restaurants a short walk/or roll from hotel.

We did read the other reviews before staying here and some points we agree while others I’m not sure if they are talking about the same hotel. Agree- Rooms are slightly overpriced, but it is in a great area near Riverwalk and you get a good view of the river and Battleship. We arrived after 11pm and there was a strong smell like urine in the hallway and our room on the 6th floor. My husband said it was from the old A/C, which we also agree doesn’t cool the rooms adequately- the temperature in room would fluctuate from cold to warm, making it difficult to sleep at night. The overall room could have been cleaned better but nothing overwhelming that couldn’t be resolved with our usual Lysol spray and wipe clean up we do first to all hotel rooms we stay. There was a stained chair in room that could have been replaced. Housekeeping was stingy with the towels and washcloths. We didn’t have daily cleaning- I usually catch the housekeeper in the halls and request items we need. I had to practically beg her for 4 more washcloths from the 2 we already had in the room that was for 4 people. I understand reserving water and resources, but it is not sanitary to use washclothes that you cleaned your body with, on you face the next day. The size of room is good, but there is no refrigerator or microwave that could fit and would help with validating the price of room. Disagree- Our room was on the 6th floor, so maybe in an area that was renovated more recently than others because I did not consider the furnishings to be outdated, including the bathroom decor. Compared to other Hiltons we have stayed at in the US, I found the room to be as expected. There was no issues with customer service- the associate that checked us in was attentive and polite.

Travelers deserve to know what they're paying for. My friend booked this hotel using a Marine Ball discount. Two couples, rooms next to each other, three nights. The discount was paltry compensation for what we encountered. The rooms weren't just dated—they were filthy. Drawers contained accumulated hair and grime. The bathroom sink area had more hair. Shower fixtures were rusted throughout, and the drain wouldn't function properly—hair and debris that should have washed away simply sat there. The sheets smelled of previous occupants and were clearly not washed. Basic cleanliness was not attempted. The coffee situation was absurd: no cups provided, the coffee itself hidden in a cabinet, and the maker crammed into a low cabinet requiring you to kneel on the floor to operate it. Not a single complimentary cup of coffee exists anywhere on the property. The smallest purchasable cup was overpriced, and the $18-per-person breakfast was largely inedible. The only item worth consuming was the fresh-made omelet; everything else was subpar and unpalatable. Three days without a refrigerator. Not broken—simply absent. The HVAC blower roared nonstop in both rooms, day and night, making restful sleep nearly impossible. Tissue boxes were missing. Towel supply was barely adequate for one day. We had to request extra toilet paper because no replacement had been provided. The room was booked for me by someone else, but travelers should not need to investigate whether a hotel provides clean sheets, functioning drains, coffee cups, or basic hygiene. These are standard expectations, not luxury amenities that require advance verification. This property operates fraudulently. Charging guests for accommodations this substandard—unwashed linens, non-functioning facilities, pervasive filth—while presenting as a legitimate hotel is unconscionable. The USMC should reconsider doing business with this property for Marine Ball events until it meets basic hospitality standards. I'm finished paying for substandard rooms masquerading as acceptable lodging. The only bright spot: the front desk staff, who remained professional and patient despite working in a property that is clearly failing.
