Rowhill Grange Hotel & Utopia Spa

My wife & I have just returned from a three night stay on a DB&B basis. Our King bedroom was really nice, clean and with everything you need for your stay. The RG restaurant has two Rosettes but the food and choices were not to everyone’s taste hence we and other guests chose the bar menu one night which was of a more British fayre. Having said that when the restaurant manager Jacinto (an asset to the hotel) recommended we could adjust the menu to suit our taste it was much more enjoyable. Breakfast was well organised with lots of choices and freshly cooked to order. The waiting staff were extremely helpful and kind, in fact all the hotel staff were extremely kind. A special mention to Jade, Alice, Jack & Ben also a real asset to the hotel. We did not use the Spa so all in all apart from the strange RG dinner menu we enjoyed our stay.

My daughter and l had a lovely spa day with afternoon tea. This was our second visit. The facilities, the spa and the restaurant are lovely and clean and thumbs up for introducing a cocktail menu to have by the pool. The only difference was that this year we used a 20% discount offer and, to be honest, it did feel like we had a different service. We didn’t get slippers to wear and had to pay £4 each for flip flops as we were told they didn’t provide them any more. In the spa everyone was wearing the same slippers and when l asked a couple of other guests, they said that they had been provided free of charge ‍♀️We had junior therapists - we all have to learn our trade but it didn’t feel as professional as usual, and my treatment time was also shortened by the therapist. However, l reluctantly let the staff know and l was very grateful for the way they dealt with this so a big thank you for that. The afternoon tea was delicious. We gave advanced notice that my daughter is a vegetarian but at check in she was offered only cheese or egg sandwiches. She doesn’t like cheese and the response was ‘ok, so that’s triple egg sandwiches then…’ l did mention that there were more choices when we came last time but they said that was all they could offer - confused! When we got to the restaurant, l asked if they had any other veggie fillings and they had plenty of choices which they were happy to let us choose from. Overall, we had a lovely day and will definitely visit again but maybe not take up any offers as it does feel like this is why the above occurred.

We had an amazing experience and day at Rowhill grange for our wedding. Becky Bell was brilliant from start to finish organising our day, and supported our vision. Becky found a way to make everything work, including 150 cocktails ready to go for our guests after their meal. The food was delicious and everyone made us feel very special. I had no worries as we had multiple meetings prior to the day to make sure the timings, music, band etc were all accounted for. Thank you for the best day! Becca & Chris

The hotel grounds were very nice We came for an afternoon tea Very disappointed it was a special treat for 60th birthday. The cakes were soggy and also the scones were wrapped in a napkin which I don’t feel that’s very hygienic or the normal. I have complained after leaving as it was difficult to complain at the time because the person I was with suffers with mental health issues, I would not be able to accept or want any confrontation since complained to somebody called Sophie and was offered 20% off another afternoon tea £12 something refund I don’t think this has been addressed properly for a big company who claims have high standards so would I recommend this to anyone else no For company of your size, your response is totally inadequate The pictures on your website Show a lovely afternoon tea with garnish which we did not have and the scones weren’t wrapped in a napkins

We were given a voucher for Christmas to enjoy some time at this spa hotel. It is a beautiful, clean, hotel with lovely, well cared for grounds. We had a package deal which included one treatment each, entry to the Utopia Spa throughout our stay, free buffet breakfast, plus a voucher towards dinner of £40 each. The treatments were delivered by friendly, professional staff and we spent time in the lovely Utopia Spa the next day. Every staff member that we encountered were very friendly and ensured that we were being looked after. I must mention the food! I am not exaggerating when I say I ate one of the best meals ever the first night (pork cutlet). The food was so tasty and the meat was so soft and delicious. The free all you can eat buffet breakfast fills you up for the day ahead and was also very nice with such a great choice on offer. We had a wonderful, much needed, relaxing two days break and would definitely recommend Rowhill Grange to anyone considering a visit.

Exceptional experience at Rowhill Grange. The service especially! The staff are so friendly and more than happy to accommodate. We stayed for two nights which included the spa package. They upgraded us to a Luxury King as we were celebrating a mini moon! We felt really looked after and were really able to relax. The food was great, both breakfast and dinner. Lots of options to choose from! Spa facilities were really nice, and the treatment we had was just lovely! You can go for nice walks around the hotel, as the grounds are just beautiful! We will definitely come back. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our time here truly special. The best little break we could have asked for!
