It's a bit of a walk from the station, but once you know where it is, it's not that bad. The view is beautiful, so it was a nice walk!
Check-in was smooth and the key was a retro cylinder.
The room was great with a great view, and spending time relaxing on the terrace overlooking the cows and mountains was great, and I'd love to come here again!
We stayed here for two days and went to Harderkulm, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindelwald!
The breakfast was delicious!

Das Hotel ist wirklich renovationsbedürftig und wirkt teils schmuddelig. Es wird an allen Ecken und Enden gespart, auch beim Personal. Sehr schade, denn mit wenig zusätzlichen Aufwand wäre es ein Bijou an Toplage. Jetzt ist das Verhältnis Preis/Leistung echt in Schieflage.

Worth spending a few days here
Exceptional hotel at the foot of the mountains. Great place for sightseeing and cycling - I was there at the end of April. Very good breakfasts with a view of the mountains, helpful staff.

I chose to stay at Berghof Amaranth to experience the charm of an authentic Swiss village and it truly didn’t disappoint... Located in Wilderswil, just a 15-mins bus ride from Interlaken Ost, the hotel offers a peaceful, idyllic setting. Do note that it's on a bit of an uphill, so if you're bringing a large suitcase, it might take a little extra effort, just like me... Hehehe I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade from a single room to a lovely standard twin bed. When I checked in, the receptionist (Mira?) kindly suggested I head upstairs right away, as the sky was clear and the view of the "Top of Europe" was breathtaking! Right next to the hotel, there are fields with sheep and cows, and I loved hearing the soothing sound of cowbells... Such a perfect touch of Swiss atmosphere. The Swiss-style breakfast was delicious, adding a nice local flavor to my stay. Everything about my time here was wonderful, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful, authentic Swiss experience.
