great hotel on the sea front! sea view room was lovely. great breakfast, and the staff were very attentive and a pleasure to deal with. would recommend!

Nice and decent hotel located just in front of the costal line. Got everything you need in the room (except smart TV). Breakfast is the best part of the stay, which included a list of English breakfast of your choice (egg Benedict, American pancakes, Full English breakfast etc), coffee, juice, fruit and bread. It was a lovely experience with friends and family.

The Marine Hotel in Had provided me with the best sea view, offering a peaceful and picturesque stay. The friendly hotel staff added to the pleasant experience, and the breakfast was enjoyable.
However, the way to my room was a bit unconventional, with a maze of staircases leading up to it – a memorable and amusing aspect of the hotel stay. Despite the quirky path to the room, the stunning sea view and welcoming staff made for a delightful and memorable stay at The Marine Hotel.

Lovely conservatory. Really well cooked food. Delicious fish and chips , sea bream and duck. Lovely puddings. Some tasting English cuvee. A really lovely birthday lunch by the sea.

I absolutely loved this hotel for several reasons. The location, right across from the ocean, is truly unbeatable. We opted for the superior room with a balcony, and it was definitely worth the splurge. Watching the sunset with a cup of tea and a cozy blanket was a highlight. The rooms themselves were both comfortable and impeccably clean. We had no trouble with parking; there’s a small lot at the back, and the front becomes more available later in the day. The staff in housekeeping and the restaurants/bars were fantastic, although the front desk could have been a bit friendlier. The pub and outside patio was always buzzing with people. Food and drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Just a short walk across the street to grab an ice cream and check out Tankerton beach and the colourful beach huts.

We visited for just one night,we found the car park round the back and we had a double room with a sea view,It was very nicely decorated and downstairs was very nicely set out,The breakfast was nicely cooked and the service was quick,all in all a lovely place and a great location.

Our friends recommended this hotel as it close to Whitstable. Unfortunately we were really disappointed . Our bed was very hard but what was the worst thing were the pillows, They were extremely hard and of poor quality, or possibly just really old. The decor in the room was poor with the bathroom being the worst . The plug hole was full of gunk that made the water not running away and spilling over and onto the bathroom floor - personally I didn't want to stick my fingers down to clear it out. The paint was chipped in the bathroom and around the shower basin it was mouldy and grimy. The decor throughout the hotel is dated. Also there is a water bottle in the room which is filled daily with tap water , I do not drink tap water , either bottled or filtered (at home) the water tasted unpleasant . One positive is the staff are lovely and also efficient. We won't be going back in the future unfortunately and mostly because of the bed/pillow situation and grimy bathroom . We had 2 nights there and I am exhausted through no sleep , so very glad to be home.

Super friendly and obliging staff. Superb breakfast menu with first class service. Friendly, helpful and efficient housekeeping staff. Rooms very comfortable with air con, fresh milk, selection of various coffees and teas. This is a traditional old seaside hotel with small balconies overlooking the promenade and beach. It is however, in need of cosmetic improvements, ie old paintwork and cracked filler. Previous paint jobs have been a ‘splosh it all over’ kind of effort. Also let down by dust on horizontal surfaces such as skirting boards and chair spindles etc. Great selection of beers and is deservingly very popular with locals and tourists making use of lovely inside lounge areas and outside seating.
