We stayed 2 nights at Bayview Valley Lodge and really enjoyed it. Our suite was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. David is a very friendly and funny host. Breakfast with him is never boring. He has lots of stories to share. The breakfast table was so beautifully decorated. When the weather allows it breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the bay. While travelling NZ we stayed in 15 different places and this was the nicest B&B on the North Island.

Wir haben 5 wundervolle Tage in der Kupe Suite der Bayview Valley Lodge verbracht. David ist ein toller Gastgeber, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Seine Ausflugstipps waren super. Das Frühstück und das Ambiente ist außergewöhnlich. Das 4-Gänge Menü mit Beef Wellington war sternewürdig. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Wunderschönes Haus Die schönen und stilvoll eingerichteten Appartements mit traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht von Whitiange, das schöne Frühstück mit edlem Geschirr und liebevoller Tischdekoration waren perfekt. Im Außenbereich konnten wir im Whirlpool die schöne Aussicht genießen. Der Gastgeber hatte gute Lokalempfehlungen und Ausflugstipps für uns. Eine spontane Verlängerung unseres Aufenthalts wegen schlechten Wetters war kein Problem. Der perfekte Urlaubsabschluss, der mit einer Einladung zum Dinner und freundschaftlich endete.

The view from the private little terrasse is amazing. David is the most welcoming and friendly host. We enjoyed a day trip with David during which he showed us very special beaches and made a tour into the rain forest with us to see the Kauri trees. Being guided by a local made it possible to so a lot in only one day and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of being driven. The apartment offers all you need and more including bathrobes, slippers as well as umbrellas. We also enjoyed a deligtful breakfast with homemade fruitsalat and yogurt, as well as toast and eggs. The coffee is of barista quality.

Diese Unterkunft verursacht Gänsehaut! Das Haus in einer Traumlage mit sensationellem Ausblick, die Einrichtung des gesamten Hauses absolut einmalig und geschmackvoll, mit vielen kunstvollen Hinguckern versehen. Wir hatten das Glück, ein perfektes Frühstück mit Aussicht genießen zu dürfen, das 100 von 50 möglichen Punkten bekommt! Sensationell ist das selbst gebackene Brot von Gastgeber David. Er hat auch super tolle Tipps für Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung (Wir mussten eine gebuchte Schifffahrt absagen, David hat und gerettet). Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, das WIFI hat sehr gut funktioniert, Parkplatz ist direkt vor dem Haus.

This accommodation was booked on our behalf, so we had no idea how lovely it was until we arrived. As described in other reviews, it is quiet and clean and tastefully and interestingly decorated. Fantastic views. Our host was helpful, had a wealth of local and general knowledge but wasn't intrusive in anyway. We arrived after a week of cycling the railtrail and our clothes were washed and returned to us clean and folded. Breakfast on the balcony (when the weather permitted) was a great way to start the day. Highly recommended

After a wonderful and eventful four-week trip through New Zealand, we spent the last six days with David at Bay View Valley Lodge. These six days were the highlight of our trip and we were very sad when we had to say goodbye to David. David is a very attentive, helpful and sensitive host. We really enjoyed starting the morning with a wonderful breakfast at a lovingly laid table, chatting with David and taking in the wonderful views of the countryside and sea into our hearts and memories. In those six days David made us feel as if we had come as guests and left as friends. We can only wish every traveler in New Zealand to enjoy a stay at Bayview Valley Lodge with David.

Eine wunderschön gelegene Lodge mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf die Mercury Bay. Unser Aufenthalt war der krönende Abschluss unserer Neuseelandreise. David unser Gastgeber hat uns nicht nur ein leckeres Frühstück zubereitet, sondern uns auch viele gute Tips zur Erkundung der Umgebung gegeben. Das private Bad im Whirlpool mit frischem Obst und dem unglaublichen Blick auf das Meer oder nachts in den Sternenhimmel mit Milchstrasse und Sternschnuppen ist nicht zu toppen.
