Cons: The room facilities are a bit old, the service is average, the mini bar and sunset wine in the room are charged items, the signs are not clear, we thought they were free items, and the cost of calling a taxi for the guests is very high. Overall evaluation: The hotel is average, not worth the price of more than 3,000, and the cost performance is not high."

"We experienced a Robinson Crusoe feeling on a beautiful island with white sand beaches, amazing snorkelling spots at the coral reef (we even saw a (vegetable) shark!) and diverse (tiny) forest. There are lots of small hermit crabs and huge coconut crabs. The 360 view on the lighthouse is amazing. We would definitely recommend to stay one (or more) night(s) in one of the seven beautiful ecolodges on Chumbe island. This way you can experience all beautiful things the island has to offer. The staff has great knowledge about the nature, provide delicious meals and are very friendly. They want to make your stay unforgettable."

"Terrible experience. The pictures online are very misleading. Hotel is rundown and in need of a lot of work. There were so many bugs in our room and the mosquitoe net had large holes in it. The service was very poor. We typically waited over an hour for food in the restaurant. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel"

"The food was excellent. The chef exceeded our expectations. Prosper has excellent communication & PRskills, he engaged with us very well. He was so helpful. The atmosphere was cordial, the rooms are very good. I particularly liked the ocean view, it was amazing. In short, i would still choose DT for lodging. However, we had a terrible experience with power outage on our 3rd night. It was restored very late around midnight. That was not nice. I could take a shower that night because water was also cut off. Additionally, internet services were cut off including the following day. Thankfully, we were assisted very late with alternative WiFi . This should have been done in the morning but the DT staff was slow to respond. We also had issues with the TV, we hope management can look into it. The rooms were always very clean, clean linens, keep it up. I make some recommendations: 1. Quick response to unforseen problems. 2. You may consider to have TVs in rooms due to divers interest. 3. On arrive staff can be assigned to explain some tourist areas and provide information and possible help on how to navigate the town and explore tourist areas such as beaches. 4. My neighbour adjucent to my room was so noise and played loud music. I suggest that visitors should be encouraged to respect and be considerate of their neighbours. All in all, l would still choose DT VILLAS on my next trip!!"
