My family treated me for my 70th. We are fairly regular diners as we live locally, but this was an exceptional evening! The meal was outstanding, the atmosphere warm as usual, and the service friendly. Thank you for complimentary wine! I hope we weren’t too noisy!!

What a great find. Lovely quaint pub. Staff are attentive and the food is amazing. Be sure to book dinner before arriving as the restaurant gets fully booked. Lovely comfy rooms and good facilities

Went for Sunday lunch my partner and son had the roast sirloin of beef and l had the vegetarian roasted butternut squash which l have had many times yet again superb the whole experience was wonderful going back again this week cannot wait the cheese and biscuits was excellent so was the sticky toffee pudding

The best Sunday lunch in Devon! Gorgeous and cosy pub with extremely efficient and friendly staff - the meal was wonderful with delicious beef and loads of veggies including sizzling cauliflower cheese. Don’t miss the chef Jay’s sticky toffee pud which can’t be beaten!

Wonderful overnight stay, the most comfortable bed in 5 days of travelling. Lovely people, great food, very kind. We will return.

This was a long planned trip with friends, some of whom had been before and raved about it. They were right: Tess and her team were so friendly and welcoming, both to us and our assorted dogs. Dinner was exceptional - top quality local ingredients cooked and presented with real flare. Then upstairs to comfortable bedrooms. Great breakfast too.

We stayed in the Brentor room and was blown away by this beautiful clean room. Large bathroom. We ate both dinner and breakfast here. Both of which were delicious. An awful lot of locally sourced produce used and a good selection of wines. As this place was situated on the main road I was concerned about traffic noise. However the windows were glazed well and heard very little so don’t be put off by this. Comfortable bed. Decor was tasteful. Well equipped coffee and tea tray in room with a fridge. . Would go back tomorrow.
