Ibis Styles Hotel (Xi'an Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street) Reviews

I loved the location of this hotel. So close to the Drum Tower and Muslim quarter, shops, restaurants and metro. I was a little bit concerned with other reviews about the carpet etc but it was completely fine. Our rooms were tiled. No smoke smells. One of our rooms had an issue with the tv but staff fixed that promptly. They don’t speak English but are well versed in using the translating apps. We were happy the self serve laundry was free to use and had detergent. Bottled water is also there if you ran out but they gave us 2 bottles each day as well. I found my clothes dried faster on the roof than in the dryer - it was very hot in Xi’an! The roof garden is a nice place to relax. You can see the Drum tower and the start of Beiyuanmen St easily. (The photo of the Drum Tower is from the rooftop garden.) Some of the woodboards up there are deteriorating so watch your step, but otherwise it’s lovely. Would be beautiful in spring when the flowers bloom. Our room was on the laneway side and it was surprisingly quiet despite all the horn honking on the streets below. Shower head had good water pressure, beds comfortable. Room clean. The fitness room is in the laundry and does not have much equipment only a treadmill and elliptical/bike so if you want more gym equipment this is not the place for you. The WiFi worked intermittently for us but wasn’t an issue as we had our own data. The hardest part is finding the hotel the first time you arrive. The hotel does send instructions when you book so definitely keep those on hand. The back of the hotel is the easiest entry from the metro and for arrival by car. If you see a boom gate you are in the right place. Walk past the boom gate up the driveway then follow the signs to Ibis Styles. You basically have to go around another building to find it. It is too difficult to come with luggage into the front entrance because that is far from the road and is a pedestrian shopping area and square. Cars cannot stop near there. If you want a budget hotel in a great location, this is definitely worth considering. I was very happy with it.

-Good location within walking distance to attractions place( Bell and drum tower , Huimen street ), we took bikes to travelling around and it was really fun. -metro is a fews hundreds meters away -lots of food and convenient store around -Rooms are big , clean and comfy bed - Sky garden at the roof top is a bonus -down side is thin wall, you can heard noise from door open and close. -staff not speak English but can communicate through google translate

Perfect stay for a stay of a. family , right next to the really center and really close to the metro. In addition , the room are cleaned and the service is perfect.

Nice place with a great location very close to bell tower and metro station. The room could have been more clean. We did not use the facilities, so no comment on that.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, service is great.The location is very central to all the local attractions like the bell tower and the Muslim quarters. Definitely value for money.

The location is a little hidden, off the main road but not difficult to find. Overall, we had a good stay at the hotel. Great service and comfortable room. A short walk to the bell and drum towers. We particularly appreciated the amenities including packet detergent and the roof garden where one can get a really good view of the drum and bell towers.

Central location close to Xian Bell Hall and Metro. Comfy bed and wide variety of breakfast.

The room is very clean with the best location in Xi’an and I will be back again to stay

super location, quiet. affordable price, a normal breakfast. however, there was no window, I was not warned. The staff speaks English through an automatic translator. There is no large signboard, the entrance is from a large square. I had to search a little nearby

The perfect hotel for muslim travellers. Located next to Huimin street or Muslim quarters. So we had no problems finding halal food. Hotel was superb. Room was comfortable, service was good, spacious & clean. Had free dryer as well. Near to subway station.. The best hotel in Xian.

Near to Bell Tower, Drum Tower and walking street. We reached hotel by Didi and it is easier to locate for 莲湖区社会路8号 and walk through the hotel car park. There is a mini mart opposite BBQ stall sells cheaper beer.

Near to Huimin Street & Muslim Quarter for halal food hunters. Drum tower and bell tower only few meters ..very convinient and easy to find. Staff are very friendly and allow us for early check in.Definitely recommended to stay here.

The hotel was well located and the staff have been very friendly during my stay. You can take exit C 9 or 1 after arriving at Zhonglou metro station. The hotel staff also provided us with the exact address to take Didi, which was very convenient. There was also free laundry service.

The hotel is super well located. The room very spacious and the bed very comfortable! Great stay here!
