"My check-in experience was terrible. On the first night, when I went to see the room, the front desk employee hid the cheaper room types and pushed me to book a more expensive room to get a membership card. I repeatedly confirmed if there were no other rooms available, and after getting a definitive 'no, they're all booked by other guests' from the front desk, I prepared to look at other hotels. Just a few minutes after I left, the room suddenly became available. It felt like they wouldn't let me check in unless I bought a membership. After all that hassle to finally get into the room, the desk was still sticky with who-knows-what, and my hand got dirty when I put something down. There were cigarette butts and trash under the sink, and ants and many small bugs on the bed. I caught four or five in a short time. The hotel offers laundry service, but only for members. My reported issues weren't really addressed. I stayed for many days and was mostly out during the day. If they had just given me a clean, disinfected room and asked if I wanted to switch, I wouldn't be this angry. What's the point of changing rooms if the pest problem isn't resolved? Should I call security up in the middle of the night to catch bugs? 😂 And they couldn't even issue a special VAT invoice, only a regular one, which I really don't understand!"
