There is a common area in which you may grill, sit and relax or sit by the fire pit. Property is located .5 miles from Clearwater Lake for many water activities, or a 15 min ride and you will have access to the phenomenal Black River. Bluff view inn is a really great place to stay. Mark and Sandy are excellent hosts, sharing their knowledge of the area, as well as providing an excellent place to stay. The area had been hard hit by the tornadoes in the Spring, but with hard work and determination Mark and Sandy have cleaned up the debris and refurbished what needed to be in a timely manner. They are indeed hard working and very personable hosts. highly recommend this place.Tom and Suzy

Everything was clean. Everything worked. The mattress, however, was not at all comfortable. It made for a tough night in sleepy town.

A Comfortable Getaway
The room was what we expected from the listing. Mark was wonderful about responding to messages. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The location was nice and close to the lake and multiple boat ramps which is what we were looking for. It was very peaceful! The only downside about the location for us was that it is a little bit of a drive to get to restaurants and a grocery store in Piedmont. That would not have been an issue if we had brought our own food as the kitchen in our room had what was necessary for some food prep. The other minor downside was that the WIFI in our room was not reliable which could be a problem since the cell phone signal was not good. We were there to escape, so it was fine for us, but might be a problem for someone else.

This hidden gem was PERFECT for a float trip weekend. The host, Mark, was very accommodating and shared a wealth of knowledge about the area with us. Already planning next year’s stay!
