We were a group of friends and had a great evening at the Star Inn. The menu was varied and the food excellent. The personal service was friendly and added to an ambiance that made for a super experience. And it was extremely good value. The owners are working hard and succeeding!

I had the pleasure of having both breakfast and Sunday Lunch at this excellent establishment. The food was delicious and great value for money. A great pub with a wide choice of drinks and good service. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Found this little gem on the way back from York. What a find. Food was lovely. Staff were friendly. We really enjoyed our visit. Played pool and darts whilst we waited. Definitely will return for Sunday lunch when we are next in Yorkshire. Thank you 😊

We wanted to get a group of friends together (30+) and Kevin & Gemma did an amazing job! The food was so plentiful and really appreciated. The atmosphere was really good as the pub and restaurant was buzzing. We stayed overnight and the rooms were excellent clean with everything you’d want. Breakfast was superb and they had alternatives for the vegan guest too!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Great value and superb food which was freshly cooked. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. The best Sunday lunch we have had out for some time and we will be back

We had a lovely comfortable stay with the room being big and spacious the beds very comfortable. The owners are lovely the food was lovely I would definitely stay again we enjoyed our stay.

Service is amazing, staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for a country pub! great drink selection. Food was out in good time and cooked perfectly. And again, the staff are amazing and friendly, such a wonderful pub!!

I went with my 3 children, the food and atmosphere was lovely. A lovely little park across the road for the kids to play on. Times of opening hours are different now , please look on their Facebook page for updated hours and food service times. X

We were recommended The Star Inn as we were staying at an Air B&B nearby. Unfortunately it was not the experience we were expecting. An honest review: We were a group of 7 adults and 4 children and we were asked to prebook our food choices which we did in advance. Upon arrival we were told that some food was unavailable. Food took 45 minutes to come out and when it arrived it was very well done. The children’s food was over cooked. The burger was burnt. It was so bad that we cancelled desserts as children were getting restless as they had waited so long! Coke was served out of warm cans. The lady behind the bar was really lovely!!!! Nice bar, great games. A lovely pub for drinks. Food let it down.
