Waya Island Resort - Adults Only

We could not have asked for a better holiday and Waya Island Resort exceeded all our expectations. The highlight for us were the staff, who could not have been more warm and hospitable. We were so blown away by their kindness and professionalism.

I could not fault Waya Island Resort on anything. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were made to feel welcome and very comfortable. The staff are beautiful, the accommodation was very comfortable and clean, and the food was plentiful (and delicious!) It's a small intimate resort, where you can chill out and disconnect, or you can find new friends and share experiences - there is no obligation! I went with my husband for our wedding anniversary and I'm glad we chose Waya Island Resort. They made it a very special day for us. Annette and Peter

Had a wonderful time at Waya Island Resort for our Honeymoon! We stayed a total of 7 days in a deluxe oceanfront bure. The staff were helpful, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile. You have the opportunity to do as much or as little as you want, however we strongly recommend the extra activities (snorkelling, fishing, village tour etc.). Food could be some what limited - but always delicious.. we loved the Fijian night (along with the Kava ceremony). Some areas of the resort are slightly ageing, such as the pool and deck area. The beach is also very rocky, and you can only access the other beach through a boat area - but thankfully reef shoes (and other non-motorised equipment) are included in the room. In total, we would encourage people to visit the resort, and enjoy the wonderful smiling hospitality Fiji is so famous for!

We chose Waya because we wanted an authentic Island stay. As we approached the island the first impression was absolute delight. The steep rock hills rise majestically above the resort and gives a sense of seclusion and peace. We were welcomed with a song and a refreshing drink before being shown to our very spacious and comfortable villa. We chose the Grande villa which has a lovely spa pool that we made frequent use of during our stay. The added touches like home made cookies and lovely Pure Fiji bathroom products, the outside shower and the peaceful and private settings made our stay all the more special. The activities are well chosen with a mix of paid or free inclusions. We went for a village visit which was very special to meet the local people and see more of the island. We also went snorkelling a few times, the coral and fish life are something you need to see! Our guides and all the resort staff excelled at giving us the best stay we could have imagined. They were personable, friendly and went out of their way to look after us and give us the best time imaginable. The food was great with our happy hour each night included a cocktail of the day. The intimate nature of the resort lent itself to meeting other guests, having chats and learning about others and their experiences but there is enough space for people to go about their own holiday in their own way. I frequented the spa a few times and the ladies are very skilled and allowed me to relax even more! It was so hard to leave this beautiful place with its beautiful people. It felt like we were leaving home. We would return here in a heartbeat.
