It was a wonderful stay in a very nicely equipped wood cabin. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

We rented 17 C from the Redwoods for a night while visiting Yosemite. Cute little place. Two perfect sized bedrooms for the four of us, awesome kitchen, and all the utensils included. We got in late but used their speedy late checkout service and it was a breeze. Reasonably priced, clean, inconvenient. Couldn’t recommend the Redwoods enough! Thanks!

We stayed at cabin 3N at the Redwoods of Yosemite this week. The management was very responsive and easy to work with. However, the cabin was extremely out of date (think asbestos linoleum peeling off the floor) and most importantly, absolutely overrun with deer mice, the type that can carry hantavirus. When we first saw a mouse and reported it, the management immediately responded by sending out housekeeping to clean again and maintenance with mousetraps. However, it soon became apparent that it was completely infested. We spent the evening standing on couches to escape the mice running all around on the floor. We called after hours maintenance and were told it wasn’t an emergency and there was nothing that could be done until morning. We called around everywhere else we could find to try to get out immediately but everywhere was booked and it was after hours by that point, so we spent a sleepless night here and then at 4am packed up and left. When we got in touch with management later in the morning, they were very understanding and willing to work with us, giving us a refund and stating they would try to thoroughly exterminate the mice. Overall, the location is great and some of the cabins looked very nice, this cabin has a great deck and a nearby fishing/swimming hole, but there is unfortunately currently an extreme mouse problem. Do not risk your family’s health.

The beautiful exterior of the 2 bedroom cabin was much better than the interior. We found the place dirty and dingy, with none few of the basic amenities - coffee, tea, sugar, creamer. You could not open the smaller bathroom door if the toilet seat was in the down position! We expected much better and we feel the cabins were overpriced and way underperformed.

We stayed in a two bed log cabin. We cooked and prepared everything ourselves having made use of a supermarket on our way down. Although previous lodges had left some basic condiments there is a local market that has some basics you might have forgotten. Although pricey we did use it several times. Very well located near the south entrance of Yosemite inside the park. With a big open fire and an abundance of firewood it was a home from home just in a magical place.

We stayed in the Black Oak Lodge and were very disappointed. The cabin was quite dirty. The wood floor was heavily stained in multiple areas along with stains on the front of the wood cabinets. (The wood floors in front of sink looked moldy.) The white baseboards were FILTHY, which led me to believe the brown ones were as well. The closet in the main bathroom was not usable because inside there was a roll-a-bed and a dirty used shower curtain on the floor leaving no room for hanging clothes unless you wanted them touching the bed. When we arrived some of the lights and the hot water didn’t work and we couldn’t find breaker box anywhere. (We finally found the breaker box outside the next morning). The coat rack at the front door was broken. The heater in bedroom had front of unit fallen off on the floor. I did not dare walk on any of the floors without shoes on. The whole place gave us a feeling of “ICK”. I wasn’t even comfortable sitting on sofa. We had booked 5 nights and left after three because it was so uncomfortable being there even though we had already paid. When we were checking out Sharon took down all my concerns and said she would call me back later that day about our concerns and possibility of a refund. While I didn’t have high hopes for any refund I did believe she would at least call me back since she said she would and she did verify that she had my correct number. 12 days later I still haven’t heard from her. I also asked both people working in office if they had been in the cabin lately to see the condition and they both said they had not. We picked Redwoods because of location but we wish we had stayed outside of the park instead and driven in each day. We dreaded having to go back to this cabin at the end of the day. We had a family reunion for a few days in Yosemite and stayed in this particular cabin. The location is at the south end of the park so an hour drive to the main points of interest. The scenery surrounding the cabin was beautiful. It is also very close to a fantastic swimming area called Swinging Bridge. We ate dinner and breakfast on the back deck each day which was nice and cool. The cabin itself: we arrived during an extreme heat advisory (temperatures at and above 109). When the first family members arrived they discovered there was not central air conditioning (which is probably common in this area since it cools down at night) but there was only one ceiling fan in the living room. There were no other fans to be found. So other family members had to scramble to go buy fans in the nearby town to bring into the cabin so we wouldn't suffocate during the day. This was quite an inconvenience. We have been told the managing company is going to reimburse us for the fans which is nice. We left them there as no one could pack and fly home with them. Later, we discovered there were a few fans but they were filthy and small and no one wanted to use them which brings me to my next point. Although it appears clean for the most part when you look closer this place needs a thorough cleaning. There were dust bunnies all over the floors in the corners and under the beds. Some of the furniture on the deck needed to be replaced. The toilet does not flush well (this may be common in this remote area) and there are things missing from the kitchen like a kitchen wash cloth. Overall, it could be cleaned up better. They do have lots of videos and books and nice pictures around the cabin which make it feel nice and cozy. We didn't spend a lot of time in the cabin. Obviously we wanted to see the park. Looking at other reviews I would encourage people to do research on the specific cabin they are renting in terms of cleanliness etc.

It is so incredible to be able to stay right in Yosemite! We had the best time in the Spring Meadow Retreat. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. And it's minutes away from the beautiful Mariposa Grove! We will be visiting again :)
