Although a little dated, we had a lovely time staying at this property!! The location was perfect for the hiking, horse back riding, and swimming that we planned and the host was very communicative during our stay.
The only thing I would recommend is having some flashlights around the house (unless we just didn't see them). The whole area lost power our last night and we were at the mercy of our cell phone lights :) but were able to take advantage of their board game collection.
Thank you for having us!!

Our experience
Mediocre. Needs updation. Bathroom had just soap. No shampoo or lotion. The master has no window and the door cannot be left open at night. There is washer hook up but no washer. Linen had musty smell. Orchid flower was a good touch. Appliances worked well.

Falling in love with Yosemite!!!!
We very much liked the location of this property as far as staying in the park - but did not like that there were literally no restaurants, shops or very many things close by...our big advice would be to grocery shop before entering the park and stock up for the length of your stay...there is a grill, stove, large refrigerator, etc...it was nice to grill and chill after a long day in the Valley. Home is very dated but okay - could have used a few more amenities like a cooler for our day trips and perhaps a few lawn chairs to take with us when enjoying the local swimming hole...communication with owners was pleasant and receptive. We did love the Wawona locals who helped us with any questions we had. Very comfortable for two couples...each had own bedrooms and bathrooms - a must!!

Yosemite family trip
Loved the location, the space, and ability to do laundry after 6 days on the road. Michelle and Peter were quick to respond to any concerns and checkout was easy and low-stress. Appreciated having enough room for us and our two young adult children to spread out. Enjoyed some time on the deck but spent most of the time exploring Yosemite. Oh! Also like the history center right there in Wawona. It was nice to do something close to home base after a full morning/early afternoon in the valley. Thanks for helping us make our trip memorable!

Comfortable Rental In the Park
Before we arrived, we bought groceries in Oakhurst. The Pine Tree Market and the general store in Wawona are more expensive, and they don't have a big selection. After spending time in Yosemite Valley, which is hectic, we enjoyed our time in Wawona hiking the Wawona Meadow Loop Trail and the Swinging Bridge Trail. The mule ride and the Mariposa Grove were highlights too. The rental had anything we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer were convenient. We took less clothes. The beds were satisfactory. I would recommend this rental. It is so convenient to stay in the park.

Trip back in time
The house was a trip back to the 70’s in terms of decor but everything was clean. The house does not have a washer and dryer like the description states. The grill had two empty propane tanks. For 4 adults, we had 3 wash cloths. Beds and linens are really good. The location is close to the Mariposa grove. The trip into the Yosemite valley area takes you through the Tunnel view which is jaw dropping and not that far but is not a great drive at night or during poor weather. The owner is taking care of the property but we struck out on a few details. When we bumped into the issues, the owner was not responsive to help us figure it out.
