Where do we even begin? From the moment we first visited Barnett Hill, we knew it was special. After touring countless venues and leaving each one feeling underwhelmed, Barnett Hill stood out in every possible way. The entrance hallway, the endless well kept grounds and greenery surround, it was the perfect setting for our English Summer Garden wedding. The planning process was seamless thanks to the incredible team. They were responsive, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable. When we had to reschedule our tasting, they were so accommodating, and the tasting itself was such a fun way to get us excited for the wedding! We were treated so well and enjoyed some of the best food we’ve ever had. A huge thank you to Bronwyn for making that day so special. Every single member of staff, from the bar team to reception, to those working behind the scenes, was exceptional. Special thanks to Gemma, our wonderful wedding planner, and Lajos, our event manager on the day - your professionalism and warmth made all the difference. No query was ever too big or small. Our ceremony took place outside on the lawn, with a live band playing us down the aisle - something we always wanted and BH were able to accommodate it so easily. The drinks reception on the terrace was wonderful, with delicious canapés and a fantastic selection of drinks (which again I changed a few times and it was no problem), all while our band played on. The grounds were stunning and made for the most beautiful photo backdrops. Dinner in the Garden Suite was another highlight. We were initially concerned it might feel tight with 80 guests plus photographers, but it was absolutely perfect, it felt so intimate without being cramped, and ideal for speeches and conversation. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, which meant we could host our evening reception outdoors. We had a dancefloor put under the stretch tent during our wedding breakfast, the DJ was set up outside, and it flowed so nicely between the bar and dancefloor. We had late-night pizza served by Barnett Hill’s caterers. Guests are still raving about the food, especially the canapés and pizza! it was everything we dreamed of and more. One of the best decisions we made was hiring out the entire venue. It was surprisingly reasonable compared to other venues, and it meant the celebration didn’t have to end early. With all our guests staying on-site, the party continued into the night without anyone needing to rush off. It made the whole day feel longer, more relaxed, and incredibly special. Lots of our wedding guests also stayed the night before which was nice because it almost felt like a little mini get together the night prior! We stayed at Barnett Hill Hotel for a week in June for my daughter’s wedding, which was also held onsite and I can honestly say it was an incredible week from start to finish. The countryside setting is beautiful and peaceful as it is about 1km from the main road. The interior makes for great photos and the stunning grounds were picturesque. The service was excellent throughout the week, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. A special mention must go to Lajos and Zsolt, who were simply amazing all week.. Their care, attention to detail, and calm presence at the wedding made a world of difference, even with the last minute changes and swaps. They handled everything with such professionalism and ensured the wedding day ran smoothly and stress-free for my daughter. The wedding itself was beyond anything we could have imagined. We hired the venue exclusively, which I would highly recommend. It made the whole event feel even more special and intimate. The food on the day was insanely good and piping hot! The meals throughout the week were also excellent quality. The chef deserves a round of applause. So many of our guests kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Every moment of our time at Barnett Hill felt special, and we’re incredibly grateful to the entire team for making it such a memorable week. The service was excellent. Mr Lajos looked after me with the highest professionalism, and i am looking forward to returning with my team The food was amasing and the coffee was exactly as I like it, the grounds and walks make this venue the perfect location for a break or a conference

Highly recommend. My friend and stayed overnight - room was very clean and good nights sleep with very comfortable bed. We had champagne afternoon tea, dinner in the evening and treatments next day. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and food was first rate. Wish we could have stayed longer but will be returning for another relaxing peaceful break.
