Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels Waterloo Cedar Falls

I had a last-minute trip that popped up in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area when I discovered scarce room availability or abnormally high prices at the properties I typically frequent. There was a multiple-day festival in the area driving room rates and availability, so I decided to move outside my normal array of hotels. I chose Boarder Inn & Suites due to its location and reasonable room rate. I found the owners/managers to be personable and helpful and the room sufficient and comfortable for a one-night stay. One unusual thing was a desk or table in the room but no chair for sitting at the desk, such as when using a laptop. Since it was a short trip and not much time to be spent in the room, I didn't mention it after checking in, as I was soon on my way out for the evening. I did mention this when checking out and the check-out person (who'd also checked me in) assured me that it was an error, as they were changing out some furniture in that part of the property. He assured me that if I'd mentioned it earlier, they'd have corrected it immediately. From the rest of my dealings with hotel staff, I believe that they would have remedied the situation as stated. I would return to the property for another future stay.

Was going through the area on business. Area had several places to eat nearby. Room was clean. Nothing fancy but a clean decent place to stay the night is all that I needed and this fit the bill. For the price a great place to stay. Did not have a chance to check out the breakfast as I had to leave before that opened up. Will stay here again when in the area.

The staff here has been super friendly and helpful. The room is clean well kept. The overall environment is peaceful relatively quiet it doesn't reek of smoke up and down the hallways. The only thing I wish they had was vending machines and laundry facilities

They really have a bed bug problem 😩 Without the bugs it wouldn't be so bad. Please fix the bed bug issue!

Was a pretty nice and quiet place. Only complaint i had was there was someone camping out under the stairs by the backdoor. I reported to the staff that was currently working and they looked into it. Person was gone by morning. So overall good service.

Clean quiet and was a nice place to stay at. Plenty of room in my room and there were no problems at all. Great price too I will stay there again for sure in the future. The place was nice and clean from lobby to the rooms. Elevator which worked beautifully and I walk with a cane so that was nice. Rooms had plenty of towels and refrigerator and microwave all worked and were clean. The bedding was all nice and clean as well over all for the location and the surroundings I give it 8 out of 10.
