Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Waterloo

Standard Days Inn hotel, nothing fancy but comfortable. Decor is rather Spartan but makes it easy to clean. However, our room has some design flaws. Pros: friendly staff, decent breakfast, good beds, nice pillows (although I hate the square rather than rectangle). The room was clean. Cons: I guess I selected an accessible room accidentally. The accessible shower had a lip that could be tricky with a wet wheelchair. The water does not drain. And the curtain is bowed about 3" outside of the shower lip, so there's no way to keep it inside the shower. So there's water all over the floor that we piled towels on to keep it from being dangerous. The chair in the corner is cute, but I'm 5'4", and when I sit in it, my head is hitting the lamp. I was able to slouch but someone taller would be very uncomfortable.

We enjoyed our recent stay here. The room we were given was quite spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well. There are many food options in the area too. Overall, it was a great room for the price. I tend find the walls a tad thin, so if you are planning to sleep in, be aware that you will hear when the other guests start heading out or the maids start cleaning. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and are likely to stop here again when next in the area.

Front desk staff was polite with a quick check in. The room was clean, beds were comfy although the metal bedframe was different. Breakfast was sufficient. Nice walk to many places to eat. The property is in desperate need of an upgrade but that is an owner issue, not staff issue. We were just passing through so it met all of our needs for a one nights stay.

When we got there we were given a key to the room and when I walked into the room, there were people already in it in their beds. A gentleman greeted me at the door in his pajamas, and I had to apologize to him, but told him that this was the room that they gave us. We still don’t know what happened, but we went back to the front desk and they were able to give us a different room. It was awkward and embarrassing

Lost Island hotel choice Great basic hotel perfect for our time at Lost Island Waterpark and Theme Park, had so many food options some walkable like McDonald's next door! Convenience store across parking loy too, target is across the street perfect for last min. needs when the weather changes on you!

Convenient Location Good value for the price at the end of July 2025. The location was convenient for visiting the city or quickly getting on the highway. Condition of the property was decent, as in nothing was noticeable or jumped out. As for the room condition, it was also good, nothing was damaged, broken, or didn't work.
