Amazing resort, when you enter you already feel like home. The rooms are clean and the food is great. Good position, 5 min by walking and you are already in the center of Watamu . I booked the excursions with Fragola, doing the Safari with Pappagallo e Alex, they are great guide, if I ever will come back to Kenya I would surely contact them.

The setting is very nice: good beach in front of the hotel, walking distance to town, the rooms are nice or even superb (rooms at seaside), and the owner as well as staff were extremely friendly. The small bay in front of the hotel is actually like a big natural swimmingpool.

Stay was great, amazing tour safari with Rama Russo Very nice location and people working there are always nice. For the excursions we relied on Rama Russo, (Rama Safari Kenia su Facebook) amazing service and price and we had an unforgettable safari in Tsavo EST, Rama always treat you as a friend rather than his customer. He is very well organised and takes pride in what he does, he will make you feel like at home.

So, my family and I made a reservation at barracuda inn at Watamu for the December holidays. We set off to Watamu and arrived at about 6 pm. Upon checking into the room, shock on us, the bathroom had a stench of pee..very strong stench actually. I had to spray my designer perfume in the room to kill the smell. I opted to check out the next morning because of the bad experience and the non functioning Air condition. As we were checking out we registered our disappointment with the reception who informed the owner who suggested to make a partial refund of 50%. We left for our new destination disappointed and then started the cat and mouse game by Barracuda to honor that which they had suggested to refund. At some point, we were asked to reach out to *********** as that is the platform through which we made the reservation from but alas, they were non responsive to ***********. Guess what, *********** actually advised that we should rate the facility and review the experience I had with my family.

It must have been fantastic when first built and the main areas inc the bar and breakfast room still look great. The rooms and bathrooms look very tired. Clean but very worn. The breakfast is excellent.

We booked 2 nights here without reading the reviews first, after reading we were a bit nervous it wouldn't be a great experience but we were very pleasantly surprised. Very warm welcome from the hotel owner, juice and biscuits on arrival. Our room was a ground floor quad room very close to the pool. Great location in middle of Watamu with beach access. Sea views from the restaurant. Breakfast was included which was a selection of pastries, fruit, and egg station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was big, clean and had a veranda. Pool had a jacuzzi like area which our kids liked to play in. Pool was clean and had shady spots in hide from the sun. It was never busy which we loved. Feel that previous bad reviews of this hotel do not reflect its current state. Will note that we didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel though as we wanted to experience local seafood places.

Bella la struttura, tipica direi. Camera semplice, cassaforte in camera piccola e a pagamento. Wi-Fi solo in alcune aree della struttura e a pagamento, non molto funzionante! Soft drink scarsa scelta, tutto si paga extra. Buona la ristorazione, dispenser con acqua quasi mai fresca. I lettini della piscina sono pochi ed è usanza prenotarli con asciugamano anche se non vengono usati. Così anche in spiaggia. Escursioni proposte dalla struttura moooolto care. Di positivo c'è che il personale locale è davvero Gentile e sorridente, direzione assente, mai presentate neanche all'arrivo degli Ospiti
