Be aware that the air conditioner cannot be changed from heat to cold or cold to heat, and arrive dressed accordingly... The building has a definition on the type of AC and it is impossible to adjust it in every room. We were on cold days but it was not possible to turn on the heating because the type of AC in the building is cold, so we were very cold at night. The hotel staff had no solution but to bring us blankets.

I don’t recommend staying at this hotel. If I could give the hotel zero stars I would. I booked the junior suite because in all the pictures on the website there were hardwood floors. For cleanliness and allergies, I prefer hotels without carpet in the room. I get to my room (after being charged a $50 early check in fee) and the room is carpeted. I called to the front desk and was advised that this room type mostly came with carpet. The representative offered no resolution and simply told me there was no available rooms without carpet (not sure how when we arrived before 12 pm). I go to the restroom and our toilet doesn’t flush. I have to call down to the front desk again and wait for maintenance. This further delayed starting our trip. As far as the room itself, the furniture is in dire need of updating. The main table had severe damage. There were scuffs marks to most of the furniture. The chair for the desk was filthy. The AC can’t be controlled from the individual units/rooms. There is no mention of this on the website. You have 2 solutions. Either the AC will be on and set to 62 degrees (leaving you freezing cold at night) or you turn it off completely in 100 degree weather. Imagine paying for a hotel room and you can’t make yourself comfortable. The last night of our stay we wanted to eat in the courtyard. Guess what ? The outdoor lights didn’t work so we sat in darkness. I told the woman at the front desk and she wasn’t able to resolve the issue. I good go on about the low pressure in the shower and leaking ceiling but just save your money. Go somewhere else.

I’m surprised by these negative reviews. I had a great experience here. All of the staff were great. They were extremely friendly & accommodating. The room was clean & a nice size. The location is excellent. I especially appreciate the Trader Joe’s across the street. The Metro is a short walk away. My only complaint is the temperature. Unfortunately the building decides if the heat or A/C works, but this is the way some older buildings work. I was there in October & am always cold. The A/C was active. They do compensate by storing both a plug-in heater and fan in the closet. The gym is better than nothing but is small. There’s no ventilation in there. I don’t think there’s any A/C in there. It was really hot in there in October. I’m surprised there’s no fan in there. I would stay here again.

Family had a great stay. Found parking nearby. Close to Metro station. Accommodations were good for our family of 6.

Home away from home. Room was well furnished with kitchen utensils and all you need to prepare a home cooked meal away from home. Trader Joe’s right across the street adds a huge value to this location. Friendly staff as well.
