Reside Navy Yard, a Wyndham Residence

The staff is friendly and provides wonderful service. The location is highly praised for its security and good value. Guests found the comfortable, clean, and cozy beds to provide a pleasant stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and professional. In the evening it was very noisy; however, all guest were notified about quiet time and respecting other guest. We were grateful for the text and eventually the noise ceased. Overall our stay was a nice experience. We will stay here again. Respectfully submitted, The Greens

On May 13 we arrived at 10:30 p.m. for a five night stay. The room access code did not work. We were told they could not provide us with another room because the hotel was full and that the only thing they could do for us was get us a room at the NoMa Reside (in a different area of DC) but that we would have to get there on our own. We told them that we had booked at Navy Yard because our son lives there and we where in DC to spend time with him, but given that it was now past 11:00 p.m. we had no choice but to accept the room at the NoMa Reside but that we would like to check out the next morning and find another hotel at Navy Yard that would have rooms available. They told us we could certainly do that. At 11:17 p.m. we took an Uber from Navy Yard to NoMa at our cost and the next morning at 8:30 a.m. we took another Uber to the new hotel we booked in Navy Yard for the remaining four nights. We were shocked that Reside only refunded the incidental’s deposit and not the four nights we did not stay with them because the room access code did not work and they did not have another room available. When we inquired we were told they had no record of the incident, that their records only showed that we checked in at Navy Yard and then checked out the next morning. If Reside has no record that the same guest checked in at the Navy Yard Reside at 10:30 and an hour later at the NoMa Reside and a note explaining why, imagine how unprofessional and disorganized that chain is. We insisted and they said they would “escalate” this to a manager who would get back to us within 4 to 5 business days. That was on May 30 and no one has called us back, nor have they issued the refund for the room they could not give us.
