The room is average, the air conditioner is very noisy, so I have to turn it off to fall asleep. The service is very poor. They knocked on my door before I checked out. There is no water to drink. If you need it, you have to get it yourself. Parking is also at your own expense and you have to find a parking lot yourself. It feels very bad.

The river view room has a view of the riverside pier. The pier downstairs is very lively at night, with a bustling flow of people, restaurants and bars lined up, and a strong atmosphere. The disadvantage is that you can't drive there. The underground parking lot is too saturated. It took about 15 minutes to get a parking space. The hotel's surroundings are nice, with many yachts moored at the pier, and a street of restaurants and bars around, which is very lively at night. The room is quite spacious and the hygiene is good. Compared with the nearby Intercontinental Pier, I personally recommend the Intercontinental Pier Hotel

We had a lovely stay during the DC Jazz Festival! LaDawnah at the front desk helped to make the stay special! Loved the hotel’s location - so close to all the awesome music!

Despite the 4.5/5 star reviews, my experience was like 1/5. Despite the cost, it was a VERY disappointing stay for several reasons. 1) When I checked in, I was given the key to a room, upon which I got to the room, there was already a guest assigned to the room. Only reason I didn't end up accidentally walking into someone else's room was that I heard voices in the room, so I knocked first. Could have made for a very embarrassing/awkward and potentially unsafe moment. I then had to go back downstairs and wait to receive a new room key, which took almost 30 minutes, which being 6 month pregnant was a VERY uncomfortable wait. They did compensate us 2 $20 breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience (although didn't quite cover the full cost of breakfast if I am being honest). 2) The room was not cleaned or maintained to the standard that it should have been. The chaise was FILTHY (very disgusting, I couldn't even sit on it), the furniture was dinged, and the carpet had stains (please see pictures attached). Very disappointing! I did report it to the customer service person, and they said they would send someone up to clean it. Well, 1.5 hours later, that person never came, so I told them to disregard the request as I was exhausted and needed to sleep. 3) The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It had literally no cushion/padding and a very thin blanket. 4) The air conditioning, OH MY GOODNESS! Despite it being central A/C, it was louder than ANY A/C unit I have ever experienced, including apartments where I lived with window unit A/Cs. At 70 degrees, it literally kept cycling on and off every 3-5 minutes, making it impossible to sleep, which for me, as someone who is a deep sleeper usually, is unheard of. I informed the customer service, and asked if this is usual, and I got no response. My husband had to drop the unit to 68 degrees just so that it would stop constantly cycling. I recorded the sound of the AC unit cycling on and off just to make sure I wasn't exaggerating. It took me at least 3 hours to even fall asleep. Definitely not restful. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I am not one to usually complain, or even write reviews, but this stay put me over the top. I wish I had spent more money to get a better experience in a nicer hotel at The Wharf in hindsight, and am really disappointed at how it turned out as it was meant to be an anniversary weekend staycation. It is a great location, but I am sure there are other nearby hotels that will give you better value for what you are paying.

We had an amazing stay at Canopy! We had waterfront rooms and they were fantastic. The staff were great and the location is perfect. Parking is $65 a day for valet and $62 to park yourself and the garage is right next to the hotel. We will definitely be back!

We highly recommend this hotel. Such a clean place and beautiful updated rooms. The views are absolutely stunning especially with the river view rooms. Customer service was exceptional from Alx. From us, calling him with questions to him checking us in with a welcoming, warm smile, and very professional, very comfortable. So much to do with a walking distance as well in a fun night life all around. Check out the roof top bar looking over the marina, city and river!!
