"A really comfortable room with everything you could need (we had the Executive Studio). The couch and bed were so comfortable, it was hard to decide which to be on. Linens and towels were of a high quality, it was within walking distance of an IGA, BWS and numerous restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay there."

"I have stayed at The criterion many times in the last 8 years but I believe this will be the last time I will ever stay at the hotel again. The music was so loud I could hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. My entire room, including my bed was shaking and vibrating from the noise. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I spoke to the staff/manager on duty And it’s pretty much too bad so sad it’s a Pub you’re staying in. They don’t care about their hotel accommodation guests. The price is gone up to $120 per night for a double room which no longer includes breakfast. The country Rose Hotel up the road will be where I’ll be staying from now on! same price peaceful night sleep."

"Our accommodation experience for 2 nights mid week was in the Catherine McAuley Room and we were offered an "Escape Package" which included a continental breakfast and $50 drinks credit. Restaurant is not currently in operation and we chose to dine at The Criterion Hotel on both nights which is an easy and flat 10/15 minute walk. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed our experience and learning about the interesting past history of the venue. The place has plenty of charm and elegance and is a gem with various accommodation options. Our room was reasonably spacious with ornate furnishings and very comfortable bed. Very highly recommended."
