Food, facilities and service generally superb, but a little expensive, and not every staff member was great. Also, whislt the food and wine were wonderful, the beer on offer was definitely substandard.

The hotel was amazing, we had room 105 and it was one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in, bed was lovely and comfy and the shower was amazing want to buy one very similar now. Breakfast in the morning can’t fault one bit the staff were brilliant. We stayed two nights for a family wedding and our time at the Haycock Manor was perfect. The only negative was, we arrived in the dark which obviously isn’t the hotels fault but the signage to the reception wasn’t very clear so had to ask one of our family members to come out and show us the way. But we would love to stay again 100%. Thank you for everything you did.

Stayed here for two nights and loved it. The rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant both nights and thought the food was delicious (also at breakfast too). It's a little pricey for food but worth it. The staff are really friendly and we were particularly impressed with how the hotel dealt with a minor room issue we had upon arrival - they really went over and above to resolve the issue. Thank you - can't wait to return again (have already booked a stay for next month!).

Delicious Sunday lunch. Generous portion of beef, fresh vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and an enormous Yorkshire pudding with gravy. We were so full we didn’t have room for pudding although we had a couple of snacks to start which were ample. The receptionist who had only been there a few weeks gave us a lot of information about the hotel and showed us around.

From the moment we arrived and checked in with the delightful receptionist to checking out our stay was perfect. Celebrating our 11 th wedding anniversary we were give a fabulous upgrade to a suite. Stunning large feature bedroom with an amazing large bathroom with fabulous rain shower in an oversized cubicle. Bar service was charming pre dinner and the dinner from the ‘pre fix’ menu was faultless, all absolutely delicious from starters, mains and to the great cheeses. Service was perfect and all staff we encountered were extremely professional who gave great service with a smile. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Exceptional. Nightcap brandy

29th August 2025. Visited the hotel for a meal. The dining room was not busy. Meal was good. The service was absolutely poor to say the least. We were presented with a bill which was minus £40: Being a honest person I brought this to the attention of the waitress. Duly paid up. We could have walked out and they would not have known. I contacted the hotel and eventually spoke to the General Manager. Was he interested? ?? Refused to meet me and we called it a day. Will not go to this hotel again for a meal. They are not interested in what their cliental say. They are always correct and customer doesn’t matter.

It had been a few months since our last culinary experience here and again last night Kim and I were not disappointed. Eating in the Haycock Kitchen is always wonderful with its laid back atmosphere, impeccable service and food of the highest quality being a joy to experience. From the moment you walk into The Haycock you feel you are one of the family and that cannot be said of many places we visit. So if you get the chance to eat here please go and we don’t think you will be disappointed. Thank you to Steve and all his team for a wonderful evening. Kim & I look forward to seeing you all again very soon. 👍😀👏 ps the Tagliatelle and the fish & chips were amazing 👍😀👏
