We had a good stay here. Room is all pine wood, so pleasant, soothing and peaceful, a very restful sleep. Dinner and breakfast was good. Owner is very friendly and explained about how he started the lodge and how Covid hit him and his perseverance to maintain his lodge.

The road to get to the EcoLodge is not for the faint of heart, but once you get there, that ride was well worth it. The hospitality of Kelsang, his wife Dawa and her sister, Jamyang, was exceptional and we felt at home. We happened to arrive not long after a major storm which took out the WiFi. For us, this was no issue. When you're at the EcoLodge, it's the perfect place to completely immerse yourself in the beauty of nature that surrounds you. I wish we could have stayed there for more than just one one. The breathtaking views of the Wangdue Dzong (Fort/Monastery)...incredible. As a chef, being able to learn a bit more about the local cuisine and how to cook it was so amazing. Kelsang took the time to show us how to make their chili paste using fresh ingredients right from their garden was such a treat. I know the government is planning on paving the road to the EcoLodge and I look forward to returning here and staying for an extended period of time. Lastly, I left some items behind and Kelsang was kind enough to pass them along to another guide/driver that happened to be heading to Paro. My fingers were crossed, and I didn't expect it to make it to me, but it did! Kelsang, Dawa and Jamyang do everything there, just the three of them. And everything they do, they do it with so much passion and care. They are kindest people and you can feel how much they genuinely care about their guests. They made us feel like family and we absolutely loved them. I look forward to seeing them again in the future.

The place was extremely beautiful surrounded by mountains. They have a super outdoor dining area facing the mountains. Rooms were very spacious and nicely designed. I particulary liked the washroom which was massive. The view from the room is beautiful. The Bhutanese food was fantastic. You MUST try the Emma Datshi dish which is a unique combination of chillies and melted cheese. The location is serene and is close to the Phobjikha valley (a must see) and Punakha. Staff is very caring and attends to your needs immediately. The place is also located near a couple of windmills, it was fascinating for us to see it up close. Kelsang, the manager was super helpful. It's out in the open where you can view the mountains. If you are a nature lover you must visit. Great place honestly !!!

Wonderful small property with great staff and attitude. The home cooked dinner though a bit expensive was delicous. The rooms very large and comfortable. Keyang wonderful chap and his staff excellent. Great location for visit to Punakha. The view of the Dzong and mountains absolutely wonderful. Get the upper level rooms. Tips for travellers their payment system/ gateway is not so good so discuss with them and as many other travellers have said the access road is not good at all

This place is slightly out of the way, but would recommend it to anyone who is planning to take a break and kick their feet up in the country side for a couple of days. The rooms are clean, spacious, and have a great view of the Dzong and the valley. Kelsang and the crew is extremely helpful. The food prepared for us during the stay was outstanding!

The Wangdue ecolodge resort is located at an amazing place with spectacular views of Wangdi Dzong. The location is a bit remote and due to which the approach roads were not very good. But once you reach there, the views are absolutely worth it. When we arrived at the hotel, the manager very well explained us the special characteristics of the resort and its eco-friendly attributes. He and his family have taken care of us very well during our stay over here, especially the breakfast was a delight because we had it in the open area overlooking the Wangdi valley. We had a small problem of the balcony door being stuck, but it was fixed promptly. The food here is all locally sourced and prepared in house. Overall, an amazing stay recommended for Families for sure .
